THIS WEBSITE WILL GO OFFLINE ON APRIL 14, 2022! (For real)
It's been five years of honoured service for this little app, but it is time for it to retire and give way to the new editor, which is better in every way.
The new version has been online for more than one year, it is fully tested and developed, with many more features and upgrades, and a lot more to come.
All of your existing diagrams can be imported in the new editor, where you will only have to save them and they will be safely stored on your profile.
You will also be able to edit them as many times as you want, no more random links and making copies each time you want to make a change.
The new platform has a messaging system and you can message me if you have any troubles importing your diagrams or getting used to the new app.

Set the number of strings and the tuning.
The default values are for a 6 strings guitar, if you play standard 7, 8 or 9 strings guitar you just have to change the strings number.
If you play other stringed instruments you can set the number of strings up to 12 and work on the sliders to match your tuning. (Correct tuning is only needed to display the right note names and intervals)
Set the tuning of every string separately using the corresponding slider.
You will see as many sliders as the number of strings you set.
Choose the color of the dots, and set custom text.
Select a color then click on the fretboard, the dots will have the color you selected.
The last square opens a full pallette.
To change the color of a dot, select another color and click on it.
Split color currently not supported by Firefox.

You can even copy/paste some fancy symbols like these: ♠ ♣ ♥ ♠.
You can edit 2 layers on the same fretboard. Layer 2 has square dots.
For example you can write/generate a scale with blue square dots on layer 2 and an arpeggio with yellow round dots on layer 1, then visualize them together and separately.
Cool function to write neck-wide arpeggios, scales and chords in a breeze.
You just click on a note and all instances on all octaves will be selected.
For example you can map all the A major triad positions on the entire fretboard with just 3 clicks, on A, C# and E.
Also you can use it to change the color of all the instances of a certain degree on your diagram.
Click this button to create a .PNG version of your fretboard diagram. Then click on the download button that will appear, to start immediately the free download of your fretboard diagram.
No registration needed, the images are free for you to use for every purpose.

As for note names you shoudn't call "#4" a "b5", so just click on these squares to toggle between the enharmonic equivalent interval names.
If you feel you really need something unusual, like "bb3" or similar, you can use the custom text.
Intervals start from the 1° degree: to select it, activate this function, then click on the root fret.
