what can I say I give the sleeve 100 out of 100 it really is a super piece of work (think of Barry's naff artwork, I've go so much to give, Rhapsody In White, I forgot To Say I Love You (that sweat loaded hanky errr), Is The What You Want all quite K-Tel Hallmark Trojan Tighten Up fodder) The Rise Sleeve hits the spot! However>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The content does not its vile rubbish throw away bedroom mixer stuff the big give away is the statement on the back "Thanks to The Casio Family" since when has a plastic electronic-chip keyboard have anything in common with a 4 string violin, viola, chello nothing esp in sound.
How Barry could let his "young adults" assume project management and produce this synth pap is beyond me. to me this marked the end of Unlimted Gold, "Change" sealed it>>>>>>>

Thank god after a break (through deep family sadness), a long revaluation Barry did come back and on the right night and with the right stuff. This album is only good enough for the sleeve, and it's true and its so sad.

What use has it reviewing a record you don't like? When you don't like Disco you'll probably don't like this record. I like Disco very much. Unlikely i'll review a Hard Rock record. It has no use whatsoever. When artists make a record it's an expression of their emotion. The artist says: This is what i am, what i like and i hope you like it too. When you buy it, you say yes, i like it and in your turn you support the artist. Back in the day i wasn't much of a Barry White fan because everyone liked him. Now my Sturm und Drang era is over. I went from thesis and antithesis to synthesis and can look at the man for what he really is. Not only his records but also Love Unlimited's and The Love Unlimited Orchestra's came from his mind and to produce so many very successful records is not an easy task. You might even call it a miracle. There is no such thing as a rare Barry White record, they all sold very well. This one might be the closest to it. This one is not easy to find. Here he's taking things a step further. Still very much his sound but more synthesizers come into play. You have to admire him, trying to keep up with the relentless pace of time. For me, he did once again an excellent job. All good to great songs. Did he get enough credit for his fabulous work? I don't know. His ending, as many endings, wasn't a nice one. He became very ill at an too early age. I remember watching TV. A big theater in Germany. He wasn't performing, he was already too ill to do so. There he was, nicely dressed, standing on stage. The elegant German crowd stood up from their seats, all of them, and gave him a standing ovation. Not a few seconds, nor a minute, it went on for ages. That's what the man deserved, because he's Barry White, The Man, The Maestro.

The sleeve design and artwork is excellent and faultless>>>>>>>
        sadly the contents are NOT.

This is Barry's mega gaff album Rod McGrew is rather foolishly singing the praises of The Casio Keyboard and how he thinks it thinks it can create lush and vibrant STRINGS! The answer can be heard on the record it = NO (A Rolf Harris Stylophone has more guts as does the Frank Sidebottom recordings) This is not The Love Unlimited Orchestra nor is it a performance! It's a very very sad and pointless Parody

This project was an insult to past LUO albums and the session players that filled Whitney Studios and made a five letter word MUSIC!

It beggers belief that the album blurb would mention and thank the Casio family. Would the session string players like to have thanked Casio for their loss of work/jobs/income loyalty?

It was this along with Change and Dedicated that saw the death knell of Unlimited Gold, and it is worth noting that Barry carried on with the keyboard gaffing when he finally found a savour and home with A&M That first album The Right Night is laced with keyboarded strings. You do not bite the cat-gut that feeds you.it is amazing that no-one told Barry no, and that CBS allowed him to peddle and produce this nonsense, they gave him too much reverence and no relevance. The Percy Faith Synths: Theme From A Summer Chip Programme"

Do not hope for a Musical Bouquet, Sweet Summer Suite or White Gold. music maestro please this is not, and, not a conductor's stand or batten in sight, just a 110 outlet for the Casio>>>>>Ready Sid 1, 2, 1,2,3,4, (wobble that tremolo wheel).
