VH1 Reality Star Ahmad ‘Real’ Givens Dies After Battling Cancer

The former rapper and reality TV star was 33 years old.

Ahmad Givens, a.k.a. Real, star of VH1’s reality dating show “Real Chance of Love,” has died after a long battle with cancer.

Real was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in 2013. His prognosis improved after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, but his brother Kamal Givens, a.k.a. Chance, told TMZ that his condition worsened in January after a fall left him bedridden.

Chance posted a teary-eyed Instagram as a tribute to his brother, saying, “Bye to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro. I'll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God's kingdom forever and ever bro. Words can't describe my pain world pray for me!

Earlier this week, Real posted his own Instagram picture with Chance, saying “Love you too” as they bumped fists.

Real and Chance were rappers in the group Stallionaires before appearing as contestants on VH1’s dating series “I Love New York.” They then starred in the spinoff show “Real Chance of Love,” which ran for two seasons, and later on the VH1 reality show “Real and Chance: The Legend Hunters.”

Real was 33 years old. He is survived by his wife, Racquel Givens, and their son.
