Jean Michel Jarre* – Images: The Best Of Jean Michel Jarre

Misprint: B1 is "Zoolookologie", not "London Kid", just like the French version.

One of the best -if not the most balanced- JMJ's compilation. It includes three more tracks than the original non-mastered copy released through 1991. With a better sound, "Images" reunites the top hits of every album -except, of course, the only-one-copy "Music For Supermarkets (1983)" going from "Oxygene" (1976) to "Waiting For Cousteau" (1990), plus three unreleased tracks.

As an additional detail,contains three brand new versions of well known Jarre's tracks like "Magnetic fields 2", "Computer weekend" and "Equinoxe 4". The rest are greatest hits -some edited for length reasons- well sorted to give a balance with old and new songs.

Absolutely recommended for Jarre's fans!

If you're new Jarre and you're not sure where to start, may I recomend you start here. You get a good idea of his origins (Oxygene, Equinoxe, Chants Magnetique) and then the more progressive Zoolook and Rendez-vous.

Moon Machine, Eldorado, and Globe Trotter seem to have been written specially for this album, and are some of my favourite tracks.

The 'In concert Houston/Lyon' recorded live and edited album gives you a great expereince of his, well, live presentation. The full version of Ethnicolor (abreviated here) is worth the wait.

Revolutions (which features Computer Weekend, but no means its highlight) should be your next step, followed by Chronologie.
