Kat Von D returns home to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream of opening her own tattoo shop. As construction gets underway, Kat looks everywhere for her dream team.

Kat nails down her dream team, but the shop's not ready when Hannah and Kim arrive to work in Los Angeles. Hannah worries Kim might drop out, but Corey agrees to let the entire crew work out of his shop until LA Ink opens.

Kat and her crew celebrate the shop's opening with a huge rock 'n' roll bash. Hip-hop star Eve is Kat's first official customer, and pro BMX rider Mike Escamilla gets his version of the perfect man on his rib cage.

While bathing suit shopping with Pixie, Kat learns her recent weight loss changed more than her waistline. Pixie sells Kat on breast implants, but before she goes under the knife, she does a test run on the girls at the shop.

Kat's overworked and tired, so Kim suggests they do a cleanse. Kat raises the stakes by making a bet to see who can last longer, and the loser must get tattooed by Steve-O.

Corey contemplates getting a vasectomy, but it's a tougher decision than he thought it would be. Kat surprises Pixie by getting a portrait tattoo of her to show her how much she loves her.

Kat and the team learn the true meaning of sisterhood when Pixie falls sick but can't afford a surgery she desperately needs. Corey turns to occult art while Kat gives Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian a tattoo of a rock icon.

Kat invites her father to visit the shop, but nothing goes as planned. When she's five hours late to work things get chaotic, and rock star client Frank Iero from the band "My Chemical Romance" looks for ways to pass the time.

The crew is determined to find Kim a good man, and she finally takes a gamble on love at Drag Queen Bingo. Later, Kat turns the arm of her friend, rocker Jesse "Boots Electric", into a tribute to his son.

Kat's business is booming, but her personal life is suffering as a result. Kat manages to meet a guy she vibes with, but she has some doubts about jumping into a relationship so quickly after her recent divorce.

Hannah's daughter, Holly, comes to visit Los Angeles, but Hannah's stuck working. While she tries to break free, Rita Haney tells Kat the tragic story of the death of her soul mate -- Pantera's guitarist Dimebag Darrell.

Pixie faces relationship issues, so the girls rally around her. Bonnie pays tribute to her music with a piece from Corey and in the process helps bring a smile to Pixie's face, and Sebastian Bach shows he's still rock 'n' roll.

Hannah is forced to decide between her life in Los Angeles and the life she left behind in Chicago. Kat wants to take a vacation and meet Orbi on tour, but she has to figure out a way to leave and still take care of business.

Kat returns from her trip with Orbi to find that Hannah's still in Chicago and in no rush to come back to Los Angeles. Pixie took off for a week without asking, and Kat has to decide between business or her friendship.

Tension builds in the shop as Kat struggles to be a boss without damaging her friendship with Pixie. Kim gets a blast from her past when she tattoos renowned artist Derek Hess.

To help Kat tame her wild ways, she impulsively moves in with her boyfriend Orbi. Meanwhile, Hannah tattoos a mermaid for Rebecca to help her confront the horrors of surviving the tsunami that almost took her life.

The crew looks to make a fresh start, and Pixie undergoes laser tattoo removal to make room for a very important tattoo. Kat hires her sister to be her personal assistant and plans a surprise with the help of comedian Tom Green.

Kat and Orbi get closer in their relationship when she tattoos a classic portrait of his father, rock 'n' roll legend Roy Orbison. Pixie and Kim discover the ups and downs of being single in Los Angeles when they try speed dating.

Kat builds a full-sized skate ramp inside the shop, but Hannah thinks it's a terrible idea with dangerous repercussions. Corey and Kim work out of Corey's shop, and Kat tattoos her old friend Bam Margera.

Kat decides she wants to set a world record for doing 400 tattoos within 24 hours. However, with less than a week to plan the event, she might be attempting the impossible.

Kat is rushed into surgery after having intense pain, and the shop must carry on without her. Later, Hannah helps Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard get motivated for the next trials.

Kat returns to work and is overwhelmed with the progress of her MusInk festival after she missed deadlines and the headlining band canceled. She turns to Corey for help, but he struggles to lend a hand and be a family man.

The artists get fed up with Pixie's bad work habits and the fireworks fly, forcing Kat to make a tough decision about Pixie's future as shop manager. Blake Lewis from American Idol gets a back piece to show why music is timeless.

Kat and the crew try to pick up the pieces after Pixie's big blowup at the shop. Kat and Pixie's friendship is tested, and the artists adjust to new dynamics as Kat is forced to find someone to fill in.

Kat's boyfriend, Orbi, meets with her dad in secret to confess his true feelings and talk about the future of his and Kat's relationship. Hannah's brother and fellow tattoo artist, Guy Aitchison, stops by to do an elaborate collaboration with her.
