18th May 2024- My parents arrived and sat at a table at lunchtime with my Aunt (89) who is visiting from Ireland. They found a table and sat down. The table had obviously been left by previous customers and was not cleared. They sat and waited for a long time. No-one came to clear the table nor take an order for their meal. They waited so long they actually gave up and left to go somewhere else. This is really poor customer service on a weekend day in May when the weather was good and so the pub was likely to be busy. It was my Dad's 84th birthday and they wanted to sit by the river to watch the boats as they used to enjoy going on the river on holidays. Also I had suggested your venue as a good option for their lunch so I feel particularly cross that they had a very poor experience. I doubt they will return.........

We like this pub a lot and today the food was good as always but sadly we had to wait 90 minutes for our lunch. We were 14 people and had sent in a pre-order and were only having one course each! Thankfully we had asked for bread and olives for the table but it really spoilt the experience. The staff tried their best to be helpful but basically 90 minutes is really too long to have to wait. Hopefully this is unusually poor and we may have a better experience if we come again.

Visited The Ferry for a lunch with old friends. Lovely food, great care taken with one of our group who is coeliac. Service was fantastic thanks to Caitlin, Eva and Ollie.

A lovely local pub set by the river, it is idyllic and has super friendly staff. I come here from time to time, and the service is always good—great for a Sunday roast or lunch.
It was a nice day. We were out for a family late morning hike along the river and in need of some much-needed refreshment, so we popped in at this lovely pub right on the towpath. Some drinks took the edge off (thank you Jaymi and Stacy), and we ordered a few starters for lunch, including some gorgeous crispy succulent croquettes, a gorgeous hot and creamy baked camembert and some 'banging' spicy prawns (so so good - had to have more!) Hot, fresh and tasty - great place, great staff, great food. Special menton to Eva and Caitlin for being so fast and efficient on the service. Keep it up - we will be back again, and soon.

Friendly staff but the food was only average, except for the squid which tasted like rubber! Mentioned it to a mamber of staff but it wasn't removed from my bill!

We had a lovely Bank Holiday meal at the Ferry this Monday, the restaurant was very busy and we had a slight wait on drinks but the staff were still attentive and welcoming throughout, as well as food and drinks being delicious! We were served by a lovely gentleman in the downstairs of the restaurant towards the back, unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but he did an amazing job despite how busy it was! Thank you very much and can’t wait to come back again

The Ferry a lovely well maintained Pub Restaurant/Inn with lovely scenic views of countryside and water.
A great menu with lots of choice.
We were served by Jaymi she was very courteous and welcoming ,the food was full of amazing flavour cooked very well by there chef! Love ❤️ this place would definitely recommend also the coffees are amazing 🤩

Visited The Ferry today and was blown away by the professionalism and care shown by ALL staff and management.
When the English weather provided a perfect storm leaving people very little else to do.... the Ferry's no doubt already busy day was inundated by desperate visitors from Cookham, Marlow (and possibly even as far afield as Scotland it would appear based on numbers... ).
Not once did I see a staff member grumble or sigh... They just smiled and kept going. Even when faced with some weird and wonderful requests (like the phone in query for a pre-order🤣🤯)..... they just kept on keeping on.
The roasts were cooked to perfection despite the huge numbers, the drinks were served cold and refreshing and the atmosphere was inviting and warm.... Despite the clearly hectic schedule of those working.
A HUGE hats off to all team members on today. As a fellow hospitality operator... All I could do was sit back and admire the aplomb with which all of you applied yourselves...
(Oh .....and thank my lucky stars it wasnt me for once as I sipped upon my nice cold and truly satisfying pints of Aspall's)
A MASSIVE round of applause to you all and much thanks and respect.
PS at 4 pm as I left, I enquired as to numbers through the door. It was at 500 approx.....
AND RISING I WOULD SUGGEST.

Brilliant Sunday roast. Very good service and a good cocktail selection! There is also a vegan menu and gluten free options. Wheelchair friendly if you book downstairs
