Trisha Yearwood is heading into the holiday season with a bangin' new look!

"Closing out Vegas ‘23 with a bang! Special thanks to @goodwillglendastyle for the gorgeous blonde balayage, Ray @wynnlasvegas Salon for the bangin’ haircut, and @lypservice for the glam. Those red lips tho!" she wrote in an Instagram post Monday. "Merry Christmas, and love one another."

The caption was accompanied by a carousel of pictures featuring Yearwood showing off her brand-new blonde hairdo, wearing a red velvet jacket over a black shirt, black leggings and black boots. She finished off the look with a bold red lip.

For comparison, she included a "before" image, tilting her head down to show the camera her roots while wearing a magenta top, jeans and feather-accented magenta boots.

The singer, 59, took inspiration for her golden-blonde hair color from Goldie Hawn in July, but hasn't warn such bold, distinct bangs since the '90s.

Yearwood introduced herself to the world with bangs (and a perm) on the cover of her 1991 self-titled debut album.

When she's not singing onstage or cooking on her show Trisha's Southern Kitchen, Yearwood spends time giving back.

In October, Yearwood and her husband Garth Brooks exclusively shared with PEOPLE that they take inspiration for their marriage from iconic couples of the past like the late Rosalynn Carter and former president Jimmy Carter.

They’ve inspired us in a lot of ways, in the ways you expect: humanity, humbleness, work ethic. But they’ve also inspired us by their example as husband and wife," Brooks, 61, said. “We worked beside them for the last 15 years, and you notice right away they bicker back and forth about the right way to do things. That kind of works for us too!”

The couple, who married in 2005, was promoting their involvement in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, for which they help build single-family homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We’ll never fill their shoes, but we’re doing the best we can," Yearwood said of the former president and first lady.
