Starter pack for a deranged psychotic MC: unsociable, lonely, timid and has imaginary friends. But what differentiates Yukiteru Amano is that his imaginary friends are actually real. Deus Ex Machina is the God of time and space. He converses with him when he writes in his diary. The God then acknowledged him as one of the potential candidates that are eligible to take his place.

He grants him a “Random Diary” and forces the cowardly student to enter a Battle Royal with 11 other participants. Like he was not already deranged enough, the new situation he is now in isn’t helping. But the character that wins the jackpot in terms of craziness is none other than Yuno.

She is the most popular girl in his class and she had been obsessed with Amano for years. Having a crush on him is already a sign that she has some screws loose, but that’s not the worst. She is also a blood-craving murder who is one of the candidates in possession of a future diary dedicated to Amano’s future.

Just by describing the relationship of the two MCs you will understand how mentally broken they are. You have a young girl with dead eyes who wishes to die and a psychopathic murder in love with slashing who refuses to kill her because of how lifeless she is.

Rachel offers Zack to help him escape the building they are trapped in, in exchange for taking her life. What’s incomprehensible is the fact that many others are after her life but she declines to give it to them, loyally reserving it to the guy she met 2 seconds ago…

The happiness felt in a life or death situation, the sweet sensation of cracking bones, the smell of sweat and blood, a paradise on earth for those disturbed animals.

I hope you weren’t too disturbed by the creepy stories cuz I assure you that the anime are even worse, each one is more brutal and gruesome than the other.
