The staff was super welcoming with warm hugs and wonderful hospitality. I was offered a chickens egg as she rose up off of it! I had asked if I might be able to experience a treehouse upon my arrival and the sweet girl behind the desk switched me, no problem. The forest really balances community living while the individual can find plenty of private space for personal development. I could have stayed in the Glass House for hours. There's a super serene hiking trail around the forest, and a sublime lake. Don't come expecting air conditioning, but the forest and staff makes up for it.
This trip was the most eye-opening trip I've had in a long time. The sustainability of everything and overall love for nature and Oneness and community was inspiring. I found myself thinking of all the people I would like to bring to experience this. I highly recommend this for loving mindful people who want to break free from The Matrix of modern society and have Oneness with nature. Missing all the wonderful people that I met and I hope to see you soon next visit. -Justice
Stopped by for a day trip to check out the tree houses and surrounding property. I would love to go back for a weekend trip! This place is truly unique, offering treehouse lodging in the forest with communal bath, kitchen, and gathering areas. Very eco friendly and self sustaining, with chickens roaming the grounds, funky cool kitchen area, beautiful swimming hole, and awesome outdoor showering facilities. Artistic haven and a source of inspiration. Buildings for meditation and yoga are also available. Definitely a great place to get away from it all, get back to nature, and become inspired and refreshed!
This place is incredible. The people, the forest, and the lake were all factors that contributed to our wonderful stay. My friends and I stayed for only one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The people that volunteer at this hostel are some of the most inviting and kind people I have ever met. Upon entering you have to go in with an open mind to get the full experience. I think everyone should visit this hostel at least once in their life!
I had a very peaceful visit there this weekend. The food was excellent. In fact the pots were scrapped clean after the group of 20-30 ate. I appreciated the communal living aspect. The work trade residents were busy rebuilding stairs and preparing food, teaching yoga etc. I'm a litte reserved but I do enjoy the energy of the youthful energy of the people there.
