Production Timeline[]
- January 17: Makeup artist Dan Striepeke passes away. Striepeke enjoyed a long association with the Planet of the Apes, contributing to all five of the original movies and the spin-off weekly TV show that followed.
- February 22: Actor Morgan Woodward passes away. Woodward played the role of Martin in the Planet of the Apes television series episode "The Horse Race".
- March 7: Art Director William Creber passes away. Creber worked on the first three films.
- March 20: The Walt Disney Company completes the acquisition of 21st Century Fox assets, including 20th Century Fox.
- March 24: Actor Noah Keen passes away. Keen played the role of Abe the Teacher in Battle for the Planet of the Apes.
- December 5: Actress Natalie Trundy passes away. Trundy was the wife of POTA creator Arthur P. Jacobs and played roles in four of the five original Planet of the Apes films - as mutant Albina, human Stephanie Branton and chimp Lisa.
