      Critics Consensus

Extract has some very funny moments and several fine performances, but the film feels slighter and more uneven than Mike Judge's previous work.

Ed Koch The Atlantic What a mistake. Extract is awful. Intended as a light, soft-porno-motivated film, it turned out to be crude and with little humor. T P Such an underrated hilarious and smart movie. Beavis and Butthead fans were no doubt confused by Mike Judge upping the IQ. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Eye C Awful people, but at the end it recovers. It makes me laugh but the persons in the story I can’t stand them. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Rose D The very pretty Ms Kunis is cast against type as the antagonist, and there are some fairly amusing scenes between Affleck and Bateman. That's where it ends; there's virtually no plot, and criminal under-use of the brilliant Kristen Wiig. Also, 'extract' is just a weird choice for what the factory is manufacturing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/21/23 Full Review Jaryn S He should've and affair and trashed his wife out the window. Come on every guy would've done that unrealistic. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Dylan H Mike Judge didn't get the respect he deserved for this underrated gem. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Some were just too hard and too critical on this movie which was entertaining enough and a 5.5 of 10! There were a few big laughs along the way and wow...isn't that Ted from Schitts Creek?!, I said out loud when I first saw him in this! He was very funny pre Schitts Creek! Worth seeing, give it a try! Big cast too! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
