From Olathe North High School
Olathe North is the oldest of Olathe's five high schools. The school was founded in 1883 as Olathe High School. The school moved to its current location in 1958 and changed its name to Olathe North High School in 1981. The mascot, school colors, and fight song of Olathe High were retained for Olathe North.
Our school hosts five different 21st century academies. These are programs developed by the Olathe School District to give students the ability to develop specific skills and interests. The five programs Olathe North hosts are Animal Health, Geoscience, Medical Professions, Sports Medicine, and Distinguished Scholars.

Out of all of the high schools in my district, I’m very glad I ended up at Olathe North and was welcomed with open arms. My school challenges my academic strengths and has helped me discover what hobbies and activities I really enjoy.
I have a great connection with almost all of my teachers. I’m so glad that I have past teachers and current teachers that unconditionally support me and other students.
Obviously, not everything is perfect. I’ve had bad experiences with a few teachers. Some had an off putting personality, some were just not good at teaching, and some were both of those things. Teachers can completely make or break how a student feels about a subject. There’s some subjects I don’t enjoy all because I had a bad teacher in the past.
Even though I’ve personally had a few bad experiences, it definitely doesn’t out weigh my good experiences. Going to school sometimes feels like an exciting adventure, and I get a new story to tell at the end of the day.

I love Olathe North. Going there was one of the best decisions I have ever made, as I only went because of the 21st Century Sports medicine program. I met people I would never have met if i had gone to my home school , and I am so so grateful for it!
The culture and school of Olathe North is irreplaceable. The community at Olathe North is unmatched when one person at Olathe North is struggling we turn into a family to support someone. The people I've met at Olathe North make my high school career unmatched. During game days for Olathe North, the whole community supports the team. I wouldn't change my experience at Olathe North.
