Description
2 CDs / 32 tracks, 7 previously unreleased studio tracks, 6 previously unreleased live tracks.

Authorized by the Atlanta Rhythm Section!

Often described as a more radio-friendly version of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Atlanta Rhythm Section was one of a few Southern rock bands to hit the upper reaches of the charts during the ’70s. Hailing from the small town of Doraville, Georgia, the formation of ARS can be traced to the remnants of two groups (The Candymen & The Classics IV). Local hit songwriter Buddy Buie assembled the band which comprised singer Rodney Justo, guitarist Barry Bailey, bassist Paul Goddard, keyboardist Dean Daughtry, and drummer Robert Nix. After playing on several artists’ recordings, it was decided to take the band a step further and make the group of players a real band, leading to the formation of the ARS.

Disc One features album deep cuts and previously unreleased studio recordings. Disc Two features live performances of their greatest hits over the decades.

I'm assuming that in the first line of the product description, the writer intended to say "previously unreleased." This one looks like it might be worth picking up.

What's a tune stack? I've never heard that phrase before. Like a track listing?

I think I'm close to your age, Renny. Just not anything I've come across before.

Tune stack... Renny is posting from the basement of an abandoned AM radio station somewhere in Cleveland.

I guess it's not surprising that the label's provided tracklist also had errors, after what Headfone caught in their description. Anyway, I've updated the tracklist to match what's actually on the discs, which also matches what Renny heard.

I'm older than both of you (75), grew up in NE Ohio (Renny's neck of the woods, I believe) ... and I have never heard the term "tune stack." Going back to 1960 or 1961, when I first started listening to albums (LPs), it was always referred to as a track listing. I also tried Googling it, and didn't find anything.

Renny, was this a widely used term in your area? Also, do you need food or supplies sent to that abandoned AM radio station?

Yes. I associate it with people who refer to tracks as "sides".

if i'm correct, i first heard the term 'tune stack' on the old ICE board (bill levenson maybe?), no i never heard it growing up around NE ohio though. it makes sense though.

i don't even know what made me use it......flashback??

food and supplies are plentiful, thanks.

For what it's worth, I have heard the term "tune stack." I just turned 70 and I'm livin' in a van down by the river in western New York.
