Austin Scott Barnes, born on the 28th of December 1989 is known as an American professional baseball catcher who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). Austin played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils.
He was chosen by the Florida Marlins in the 8th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He made his first MLB appearance with the Dodgers in the year 2015 and helped the team win the 2020 World Series. Aside from catching, Austin has also played as an infielder. Barnes has played for the Mexico national baseball team.
