Miss America is the secondary antagonist of Ralph Bakshi's 3rd feature film Coonskin. She is a racist "superhero" who roams the streets of Oklahoma seducing, terrorizing and killing as many black men as possible for both her own personal and sadistic amusement. She is also meant to be a grim representation of racism in the United States during the 1960's and 70's.
She was voiced by Jesse Welles.
Biography[]
Miss America is first seen breaking the fourth wall by drunkenly introducing herself to the audience while in a bar. She is seen later on a date with a small, black man who harasses her and intends on sleeping with her. Unamused, she retorts by slamming him to the ground, beating him with a fire hydrant before slowly punching him in the face to death. Later, she hangs out at a bar, where she gives the gangster Rabbit a seductive glare.
Having enough of Miss America, a wealthy crime boss hires a hitman to assassinate her. He finds her sitting on a bench by the side of the road and shoots her multiple times, but to no avail. Unharmed, she manipulates him into thinking that she surrendered and spreads open her legs for him to have a one-night stand with her. However, as soon as the hitman is about to stuff his face between her thighs, she shoots him in the head with her shotgun that is hidden in her vagina.
She is then seen playing a guitar serenely by a streetlamp. A black man approaches her and attempts to impress her with his dancing skills, only to be falsely hanged when Miss America yells out that he is raping her. Miss America is last seen as a special attendee of a boxing match between Bear and an unnamed boxer. After Bear easily wins, Miss America turns into her giant form as Rabbit, Bear and the boxer are seen standing on Miss America's palm as she giggles maniacally, asserting her control over them.
Appearance[]
Miss America is a German-American by descent and has the appearance of an extremely Junoesque bombshell with teal doe-eyes, ivory skin with freckles and wavy blonde hair that is long enough to reach her waistband area, she is also most noted for having the perfect hourglass figure such as having a strong body but is also very voluptuous in the breasts, hips, thighs, butt and a very small waist. She also seems to be wearing a skintight outfit modelled after the American flag completed with red pumps, and underneath she wears no undergarments.
Personality[]
She is supposed to be a typical patriotic superhero who fights for justice. However, in reality, she is a racist and perverted sadist who takes great pleasure in seducing and murdering various black men that she encountered. An example of this is when she beats one of her victims, who was her date, to death using her own fist, slowly punches him using some spiked brass knuckles repeatedly to inflict more pain and agony before his death. Miss America is most prominently a master manipulator as she seduces and tricks a hitman into giving her oral sex, only to kill him with her vaginal shotgun before he had a chance to do anything.
She seems to take pleasure in seeing black men suffer as she playfully giggled when a black man is falsely hanged after she calls out to the police, accusing him of rape, the worst part is that she could've easily defended herself even if it was the case, proving that she called out to the police simply to instigate police brutality. Her intentions are implied to mostly be to satisfy her own sadism rather than having a supremacist agenda, and to sum her up, she is a racist and narcissistic psychopath who uses her status and good looks to lure in unsuspecting black men before torturing and/or killing them.
Power and abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength - She is able to rip out a fire hydrant from the ground and slam it onto a person, shattering it in the process. She is also able to easily lift grown men high up in the air and overpower them at will, she is also physically stronger than any other human being.
- Superhuman Speed - She is able to run as fast as a race car.
- Invulnerability - She cannot be killed by bullets or anything else, bullets will simply bounce off her body and if bullets are shot at her private parts, she would get aroused.
- Shape-Shifting - She is able to manipulate her size and built at will, appearing both as tall and as a giant in the film.
- Flight - Based on the dialogue in the film, it is implied that she can fly.
- Hypnosis - Her attractiveness is what normally gets her victims killed.
- Vaginal Shotgun - She keeps a shotgun implanted inside her vagina and uses it to kill unsuspecting people in the guise of cunnilingus.
- Spiked Brass Knuckles - Despite possessing superhuman strength, she still uses spiked brass knuckles to inflict more pain on her victims.

Trivia[]
- It is implied in the film through dialogue that she anally raped men, but the context of it is ambiguous.
- It has also implied that she's been around since the slavery era, as mentioned by Rabbit in the film.
- Miss America shares similarities with another Ralph Bakshi character Holli Would from Cool World as they both are sex symbols, manipulators, misandrists, and rapists.
