The television drama version of the Infernal Affairs <無間道> film series is currently shooting in Hong Kong. Produced by Media Asia and former TVB producer Tommy Leung (梁家樹), the television sequel to the successful film franchise stars many of TVB’s former artists, including Gallen Lo (羅嘉良), Damian Lau (劉松仁), Paul Chun (秦沛), Bernice Liu (廖碧兒), Derek Kok (郭政鴻), Dominic Lam (林嘉華), and Lo Hoi-pang (盧海鵬).

The web television series, which will be released in three seasons, takes places after the events of the original three films and focuses on an entirely new set of characters. Gallen plays the show’s main villain, a trusted leader in Damian Lau’s triad organization. Bernice Liu stars as his love interest, while Him Law (羅仲謙) stars as the OCTB inspector hot on Gallen’s trail.

Recently, the Hong Kong paparazzi spotted the crew of Infernal Affairs filming a funeral scene at the Kowloon Funeral Parlour. Nearly a hundred extras dressed in black stood at the entrance, acting as triad members mourning for the death of their dragon leader. Gallen stood at the center, alongside Derek Kok and Bernice Liu. Him and his team of police officers arrived at the scene to intimidate them.

Though the cast went head-to-head on screen, they interacted like close friends off screen. With most of them being former TVB artists, the cast happily chatted amongst each other before they were called to get into their positions. The scenario looked more like a high school reunion than an actual film set.

The first season of Infernal Affairs is slated for a December 2016 release online. Though not confirmed, there has been talks that the series will make its premiere through TVB’s myTV SUPER.

Waste of cast using Him Law. Shame on TVB.

You can only hope it's good enough to watch, but it can't match the movie one.

Him Law could work, he could play the Edison or Shawn role, now the aged version of Andy and Tony will be the tricky one. I'm bias so I think Ruco can play any of those parts, perhaps even the Tony part.
