John Foley OBITUARY

John “Ed” Foley Of Los Altos, at rest in Mountain View, September 16, 2005. Loving husband of Dorothy Foley of Los Altos. Beloved father of Michael Foley of Livermore. Dearest uncle of Jim Foley (Kathleen), Bob Mihan (Judi), Clare McCann and Mary Ann Hugo (Don), also numerous great and grand nephews and nieces. Born June 24, 1919 in San Francisco, California. Age 86. Mr. Foley was an Enrolled Agent Accountant for 60 years. Ed was a graduate of St. Ignatius and USF. Served in the 54th signal Battalion of the U.S. Army during WWII and he played semi pro baseball for several San Francisco teams during the 30’s and early 40’s. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 21st at St. William Catholic Church, 611 S. El Monte, Los Altos. Preceded by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations to one’s favorite charity preferred.
