Very nice place. Very quiet even on a working day. We had almost the entire place to us(10). Food and service was good.

The restaurant was empty yet nearby “ Spice Affair” was busy. Here’s why… Two entirely different curries ordered and both stodgy , bland and broadly similar. The only good thing was the naan which was perfect. I cannot see why this place could be described as anything other than terrible. Reputedly the chef has been working there for a very long time . I’d say he needs a cookery lesson. I’ve had better microwave meals. Shameful to charge extravagant prices for this utter rubbish.

The restaurant feels spacious with its large windows facing Wilshire Boulevard and high ceiling. Over the years my family has celebrated numerous occasions here. The owner is very nice and informed that he has had the same chef all these years, which accounts for the consistently marvelous cuisine. The one criticism I have is that now a 20% service charge is added before the sales tax. I was especially unhappy about this as our waiter did not know that a Cabernet is a red wine or even how to use a corkscrew

We love Indian food and have been fortunate have eaten in some great Indian restaurants in London, UK. This reminded us of some of the great meals that we enjoyed in London. We enjoyed the Punjabi samosa. The onion bhaji was totally different from any that I have ever had. The pieces of onion were cut much thicker and were absolutely delicious. Thought shared by all. Even the garlic naan was different. It was not over cooked and it was plump in the right places. The tandoori prawns were also not overcooked. Nor were they over spiced. They were perfectly moist and tender. My wife would have preferred the chicken Bhuna to be all white meat chicken. That is my fault for not asking ahead of time. The taste was delicious just that she prefers white meat.our friends loved the chicken T Marsala. I really liked the lamb Bhuna. The lamb was very tasty and spiced wonderfully. Most importantly the lamb was tender. The lack of tender in most Indian restaurants here in LA area is one of my biggest complaints. My wife and I shared thePulao rice and our friends liked theKashmiri Pulao which came with vegetables. They served a pickled carrot which was so good that each couple ordered a jar to take home. The ambiance is really special with lots of beautiful artifacts featured all around. The service was really great. Deep the husband and owner was attentive and not obtrusive. He shared lots of his past history of the almost 40 years here in Bombay Palace. His wife, Harveen was a delight. She responded to all our needs very professionally and took great care of all our needs. We even met their daughter, Simran who works there as well. A nice young lady. Not surprising considering her parents. We have already started telling all our friends. And we cannot wait to come back.

We have dined here many times. This last time was a total MISS! Restaurant is practically empty each time we have visited here but that never deterred us. Our meal was sub-par--my husband ordered salmon and should have turned it back (he never does--he should!). Dry, tough, totally inedible. The sag and other dishes were just okay--they did not taste fresh. Serving sizes are small--so you have to order many dishes. We love Indian food--we have enjoyed Bombay Palace in the past but we will not be returning.

I first discovered the Bombay palace in Kuala Lumpur back in late 90s. Since then I've searched for their branches worldwide and having visited three others, I finally managed to eat at their LA branch. We'll, the food is of highest quality and the menus is reassuringly familiar. The service was exceptional. You won't be dissapointed. Chicken tikka jalfreazi, Dahl makani and Baigan bartha are my favourites.

We recently had dinner at Bombay Palace. The dishes were flavorful and delicious. Try the chef’s specialty, pickled carrots. The vindaloo was spicy and creamy - really good. The service however, was not. Waited just to be greeted at the table. Waited for our drinks, refills, food, everything. It was a slow night there so really no excuse for the lack of attention. Maybe place a pick-up order?

The décoré is nice, friendly greeting. However the food took a good 30-40 minutes to come, and is extremely average and disappointing asked for spicy, wasn’t spicy. Asked for spicy sauce got Chinese red spicy sauce. Way over priced and flat out disappointing.

Food good, no complaints. Being British I’ve learnt to accept the 20% tips, but it still annoys me when they automatically add it to the bill. But more to the point, at this place they automatically added 20% tip, under the guise of service tax, and then suggested tip options, up to 25%. Obviously hoping clients would not realize they had already paid a tip. I found this sneaky and deceitful, especially when they had already added $70 (service charge) !

Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
