The College is well connected by road as well as Rail nearby Katihar Jn.The College Campus is spread into 5 acre of land in the prime location of Katihar Municipal corporation. K.B. JHA COLLEGE, KATIHAR was established in the year 1976 . Then it was affiliated to Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga. In 1986 the college converted into constituent unit of LN Mithila University,Darbhanga in by the decision of the Government of Bihar. After formation of B N Mandal University Madhepurain 1992 it came into the jurisdiction of B N Mandal University. Further after formation of Purnea University ,Purneain 2018 , since then it is a constituent college of Purnea University , Purnea .The College is imparting quality of education in the faculties of Commerce, Science,Arts & Humanities. Besides the College is also running two job oriented Self Finance professional courses, namely BBA & BCA . The College has also a centre of Distance Learning Course of Nalanda University. The College is inriched with scolar faculty members, well equipped laboratories and a rich Library with more than 20000 refrence ,fiction, non-fiction, published reasearch Paper, History, science, and Commerce books. Besides college has a well equipped E- Language Library. The College is registered under section 2A and 12B of the University Grant Commission, New Delhi.
