North Bergen High School was a humbling, yet overall great experience. To make a long story short: there was hardly any funding for us. Our library was maybe the size of two or three class rooms, the lunches were terrible to say the least and the parents weren't so involved because they were always working to support my classmates. Most of us were Latinos. We never really had much to work with, however what I loved about us was the fact that we did the best with what we had. Most of the teachers I had were almost always there to help me and my classmates. Sure, some of faculty could've been better, but working for a school that barely had working computers with security everywhere can really kill your mood to work I suppose. The friends I made were few, but long lasting. I was an honor student, too. The highlight of my graduating class was how this one time the theater kids made the Aliens play and had to use garbage and recycle to make the props and costumes because again: no funding.
The school it self is ok for a public high school. The food could be better. The teachers are alright some can be nice it depends.
Theres a rat problem, multiple fights a week with little discipline, drug issues, nit picky over small irrelevant things instead of real issues.
