'Emily in Paris' Soundtrack: All the Songs That Feature in Season 2

Emily in Paris Season 2 was released on Netflix on Wednesday December 22, and it brought with it a new soundtrack for fans to plug into and enjoy.

The Netflix hit's music has a certain je ne said quoi quality to it, and its Sophomore season has the same appeal.

Here is everything you need to know about the soundtrack.

All the Songs That Feature in Emily in Paris Season 2

Ashley Park, who plays Emily Cooper's (Lily Collins) friend Mindy Chen, performs several songs for Season 2, including an original song titled "Mon Soleil."

The Broadway star worked on the song with showrunner Darren Star and composer Freddy Wexler, who wrote and produced the track.

Reflecting on the tune, Park said in a statement: "When Darren approached me with the idea of an original song for Emily in Paris, I knew I wanted Freddy Wexler to write it.

"The entire process was a labor of love from everybody involved and captures the essence of the storyline between Mindy and her bandmate, Benoit (beautifully portrayed by guest star, Kevin Dias), who writes the song for her."

Wexler also spoke about how he composed "Mon Soleil," saying he wanted to capture "Parisian magic" in the song.

"Paris has music built into its DNA—the sounds of the city beg you to fall in love," he explained. "With Darren's incredible storytelling and Ashley's brilliant performance, I hope that together we captured a bit of Parisian magic in this song."

Star claimed "Mon Soleil" was a "timeless song" and said he was grateful that Wexler could capture the "romantic vibe" of the show for him.

"Mon Soleil" isn't the only song that Park performs, as she also sings her own renditions of Pink Martini's "Sympathique," Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's "Falling Slowly," Carol Channing's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," and Edith Piaf's "La Vie En Rose."
