You'd think with 8 cinema houses, you would get a choice of 8 different movies. 7 out of the 8 were showing the same movie!!! Fast and Furious 8...I chose this over the smurf movie!
Seats ok, enjoyed the slight recline and leg room.

SF offer more discounts especially with credit cards compared to Major Cineplex. If you're over 50 years you can apply for senior card and can enjoy movies at 80 everyday.

A few years ago I came to terms with a need to take a break from my travels in Bangkok. There was a Coen brothers' movie on and I feared I'd miss it so decided to take a movie afternoon break.
The SF movie theatre on the fifth floor of Emporium Bangkok, became a regular "time out" space for me.
Easily accessed, its on the BTS (skytrain) route Sukhumvit line, BTS staff will advise you on the station (Promphong) with a walk through platform to the Emporium department store.
A first class theatre complex with a range of seats, all comfort plus. but with classy superior seating with drink and snack service.
All seats come with sealed (airline style) blankets for the added extra in very cool aircon comfort.
Phone or internet booking is simple.
Most, if not all movies are in soundtrack (English) so, no subtitles for the traveller, although there are Thai subtitles.
A great escape and movies that will be showing back home so, if you're a movie buff, you'll miss nothing in your travels.

Emprivé at Emporium had all the ingredients to be great, if only it wasn't for these seats.
They give you a blanket (you'll need it, cinemas in Thailand are as cold as fridges) and an oversized seat, which always falls back like a lazy boy, even if you don't want it to tilt back, it does.
I like to watch movies in a seated position, so this made the whole experience very uncomfortable.

The seats were very comfortable and the movie amusing. We saw "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", with Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillian, Kevin Hart and Jack Black.

The price for a movie here is much higher than the average cinemas in Bangkok as leather seats were provided and they were very comfortable. Furthermore, blanket and small pillow were provided to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience.

There are many cinemas around Bangkok. We watched a movie the day it was released and I expected there would be long queues. So we went the night before and bought tickets.
There was no queue and no queue for the food stand either. Kids and adults get charged the same price and there are different prices depending on when you see it as I was told. We saw a movie at lunch time during the week and the cost was 180 baht per person. It's less than half the price we pay back home.
Place was clean the seats were comfortable, can't complain.

Cinema seats are comfortable. The popcorn was sweet and warm enough. The staff were courteous and professional. It is a good place to catch a blockbuster.
