Really great, and sometimes not
Quality Assurance (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - February 24, 2020
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedSome in HR management really appreciate employees, do company outing 2 to 4 times a year, and large events that boosts employee morale. Sadly, there's mismanagement preferential treatment, and nepotism. Generally you're stuck at the pay you were hired on, any pay raise is pocket change, extremely difficult to move up in rank. Workflow can get really busy and this is throughout all the departments, this turns into more financial reward, at the expense of your health and personal/family life. Workplace culture is strange, there is a huge divide between the blue collar and white collar people, those in upper management sales and marketing are given all the spoils while the people on the ground building, testing, designing get scraps and are looked down upon.

Steer clear of this place!
Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee) - Lake Forest, CA - February 13, 2024
If you happen to get hired to this company through select Staffing I recommend you just walk out the door right then and there. This place is absolutely awful! The people here are so rude even when you're new and especially if you are a temp. The "management" if you cold even call them that are such a mess, they never know what is going on. it's not even worth the experience or the $18.

Great work Environment - Great People, Confusing Leadership
Bomb Squad (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - September 22, 2023
Everyone and everything was great. Leadership was just never given full ability to manage. The owner and the few that were there to start the company really make every decision and everyone else is pretty expendable.

Toxic Work Environment
QC Technician (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - September 6, 2023
Toxic Management. Terrible work hours. Abysmal pay. Would never suggest anyone work here making over priced cameras for rich Hollywood studios. All managers are SATANISTS who sacrifice children and virgins.
Pros
None
Cons
Poor pay, toxic work environment and management

Detrimental Work Environment
Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - May 6, 2020
Lack of leadership. Fear based management. Leadership does not follow through on commitments. Young work culture. Good introduction to sales based simply on the fact that you had to learn or leave.

Productive and fun workplace
Tech- Technician (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - August 26, 2019
Its a fast-paced job and you are given a specific amount of time for each task. Everyone is nice and will help if you have any questions. Good for people who are okay with working OT during the week and working some Saturday's.

Had a good culture and direction, not anymore
Crew Member (Current Employee) - Irvine, CA - August 7, 2019
Was a good company with good direction until recently. I had the opportunities to learn more and promote my professional growth. The workplace culture was beyond any other employer I've worked with. I truly enjoyed working for Red, but now the company has taken a turn for the worse with several layoffs, due to poor management and financial decisions. Not certain of the company's future and direction, but looks bleak.

Overall Review
Assembler/Production (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - April 9, 2019
Lots of overtime available, learn new things everyday if you really put the effort, management lacked communication, especially HR. Workplace was good but not great. I believe that the hardest part of the job was to deal with inconsiderate people, and favoritism was a big thing. The most enjoyable part of the job was able to work with people that recognized your hard work.
Pros
free lunches after a 12+ hr shift
Cons
healthcare, benefits, Pto

Too stressful
Quality Control Inspector (Current Employee) - Irvine, CA - March 21, 2019
I am not able to have a life of my own with this schedule. It is time consuming and they dont pay enough money for my role, poor communication skills from superiors and do not ask if we are able to stay and work, we are obligated to stay OT. It feels like there are preferences with individuals.
Pros
I would receive a paycheck for my job
Cons
Too many hours and obligated to stay for OT

Fast Paced Company
Warehouse/Distributions Manager (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - March 15, 2019
Demanding fast paced working environment often with last minute deadlines and projects. A larger company with many perks including travel and training, however lacking structure and real control on material spending and employee efficiencies. I enjoyed the challenges encountered daily on the job also the my immediate team and counterparts were essential in my success. The hardest part of the job was going through 4-5 executive management changes, each team brings in a different mindset and unfortunately the vision and appreciation for hard work was lost once the last executive team came on board. It turned into a referral promotion program where the individuals that weren't necessarily most qualified for promotions were given positions because they were friends with the hiring mangers.
Pros
Training, promotion opportunities, travel
Cons
Commute, loss of vision and direction, turnover rate.

Great Product, Terrible Management
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Hollywood, CA - December 28, 2018
If RED would replace its entire upper management team, the company could be unimaginably successful. Alas, the person who could make that change is too busy being constructive with the engineers--and I applaud the work completed by him and his team--but this gives him little time to speak with and understand the rest of the people working under his roof.
Pros
People are optimistic.
Cons
That optimism eventually sours.

It was the best job I have ever had to be honest. It teaches you how to be assertive and vigilant. It helps you grow in untouched work areas. Puntcual

Team Atmosphere
Distribution Supervisor (Current Employee) - Irvine, CA - October 3, 2018
We wear a lot of different hats and work alongside every department to accomplish daily tasks. We cross-train all our team members to maximize output. We are more than a team we are like family.

Looking to Sell
Consultant (Former Employee) - Irvine, CA - September 4, 2018
They are going thru changes and management is has been rotating out because they simply want to sell the business. It has an Issue where there is not enough IT support and that the upstairs and downstairs dont see eye to eye. If you keep your head down and do your job you can last but dont expect things to make sense in the company's allot of run around happens.
Pros
Oakley Benefits
