VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Vestal Central School District honored two of its alum’s and inducted them into the Vestal Hall of Fame.

Brian Lynn graduated Vestal High School in 1993, and now has 25 years of experience as a User Experience Designer.

Lynn was nominated for the Hall of Fame by his former art teacher at Vestal, Nikki Corgel.

Lynn now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, but flew into town to accept the recognition at Wednesday’s Hall of Fame dinner ceremony.

He stopped by the high school to lecture a class of students in the same room as his former art class.

Lynn says Mrs. Corgel is the reason that he has a passion for design and has been able to live out his dream.

“They say that when a student is ready, a teacher and educator will be there for them, and Mrs. Corgel was that for me. I literally spent more time in this classroom right here and with that teacher than any other teacher I’ve ever had,” said Lynn.

Lynn is currently the Group Creative Director of Hero Digital. His company designs user friendly interfaces for websites and phone apps.

Lynn was also the recipient of the National Association of Homebuilders Design Center and Website of the Year award.

Lynn was inducted along with Doctor Mark Hatala, from the class of 1980.
