Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Kids Have Star Quality! Meet Michael, Lola and Joaquin

Michael Consuelos

Michael is Kelly and Mark’s eldest child, and he was born on June 2, 1997. Michael is talented when it comes to many aspects of his life, including acting. Even before he graduated from New York University in 2020, he already made his TV debut.

According to IMDb, he’s appeared in Duck Dodgers in 2004, Go, Diego! Go! from 2006 to 2007, The Bensonhurst Spelling Bee in 2012 and he portrayed the younger version of his father’s character in Riverdale in 2018. Michael has also made countless appearances on his mom’s show, Live, throughout the years.

During an appearance on the talk show in December 2023, the eldest Consuelos child revealed that he was working in production on The Real Housewives.

“It’s been great. I’m living in Brooklyn. Been producing for the Real Housewives. About two years of that now, so — I’m still sane!” he told the audience during the broadcast.

It appears Michael has a promising future in showbiz, but there are some things he isn’t the best at. According to his mom, Michael is terrible at lying — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!

“I can get away with something, but she’ll always find out … I’ll come home [from college] and my mom would be like, ‘Is there anything that you want to tell me about?’ And I’d confess everything … even stuff she didn’t know about … so she would find out everything immediately,” Michael joked on Live in November 2018.

His mom added, “You are one of the most honest people that I know. You would fold like a house of cards. Your siblings, on the other hand, are trained, professional liars.”

Michael’s honesty isn’t the only thing his parents admire about him. In honor of his birthday in June 2021, Kelly and Mark proved how much they adore their firstborn by sharing touching tributes on social media.

“24 years ago at 7:17 p.m., you made your grand entrance into our lives and began our family!” the actress wrote alongside a video collage. “We love you bigger than big!”

As for Mark, the proud dad shared several photos of his mini-me throughout the years, writing, “Happy 24th birthday, @michael.consuelos!! You led the way … we love you!!!”

Lola Consuelos

Kelly and Mark’s second child and only daughter, Lola, was born on June 16, 2001. Like her older brother, she studied at New York University. She graduated from the school in May 2023.

Currently, she is pursuing music and living in London. Lola isn’t afraid to speak her mind, either. When her parents do something embarrassing on social media, the teen is the first one to call them out. Remember when Kelly shared a video of herself dancing to Shakira‘s “Whenever, Wherever,” in honor of the 2020 Super Bowl? Lola almost lost it. “Oh lord,” she jokingly told her mom on Instagram.

Another thing that you should know about Lola is that she loves Postmates, the online food delivery service. The singer actually ordered so much food from the site that her mom had to cancel her debit card.

“She’s at college and we signed her up for a meal plan, cause we’re not monsters. We signed her up for a meal program. But you know, she doesn’t like the meals at school, so she was ordering Postmates,” Kelly explained on her talk show in January 2020. “Here’s what would happen. She would order the $7 salad but it would cost $25 dollars to have it delivered three blocks in New York City.”

Due to the charges, Kelly had to stop her daughter’s cash flow. “Oh, we shut down that debit card account she had,” the TV personality revealed. Better luck next time, Lola!

Joaquin Consuelos

Joaquin — who arrived on February 24, 2003 — is the baby of the family and he’s really into sports, especially wrestling. Kelly and Mark are always rooting their kiddo on via social media, and the TV host revealed Joaquin once took a “knee to the nose” when he was wrestling one of his “good buddies” in a match.

“He was fine,” Kelly explained about the whole ordeal on Live! With Kelly & Ryan in January 2020. But that’s not what it looked like when she was watching from the stands. “From our point of view, it looked like he got poked in the eye,” the All My Children alum explained. “I was like, ‘I get it, that hurts, sometimes your eye won’t open.’ But we were like, ‘OK, Joaquin. For heaven’s sake, pull yourself together.’ And I was saying, ‘See? He’s an actor.’ Because he was [covering his face]. It was very dramatic!”

It wasn’t until Joaquin started bleeding that Kelly realized what was going on. “I tried to zoom in on my cell phone, I tried to zoom in, but even that I’m not really seeing much. And then they’re rubbing him. We’re still on the stands. And we’re like, ‘What? Why are they rubbing him?’”

Joaquin had to take some time to recover, but after his nose stopped bleeding, the teen was back in the match and ultimately won. He celebrated his victory by taking a few commemorative photos with his friends. “You win some, you lose some,” Kelly said on Instagram. “And sometimes you get a tampon shoved up your nose.”

Joaqun’s wrestling talents have led him all the way to college. In March 2021, the talented athlete announced he’d be attending the University of Michigan as a member of the school’s wrestling team in fall 2021.

“Super excited to step into this next chapter with @umichwrestling! Honored to be part of this great program,” he wrote on Instagram. The college’s wrestling program also shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “SIGNED: Welcome to the family, @joaquinconsuelos! #NewBlue #GoBlue.”

Kelly revealed how proud she was of Joaquin by posting a photo of the college student and Mark donning University of Michigan hoodies. “Sunday vibes,” she wrote next to a blue and yellow heart, the school’s colors.
