  1. Post update

It is time for us to say goodbye tonight and to the second season of The Hundred.

I'll leave you with Matt Henry's reports from Lord's as Oval Invincibles became back-to-back women's Hundred champions with victory over Southern Brave, while Trent Rockets beat Manchester Originals to take home the men's trophy.

The winning moment from each game is also below for you to enjoy time and time again and there is loads more video too.

Don't forget to check out the men's and women's team of the tournaments too.

Thank you all your company during the last month. It has been a blast.

    See you soon.

  2. When is there more cricket to follow?

Enjoyed the Hundred and want to continue following cricket?

Well, you're in luck. There is plenty more to come this summer and over the winter.

Monday sees the return of the County Championship, before the final and deciding Test between England and South Africa begins on Thursday at The Oval.

England women start a white-ball series against India on Saturday night too.

There is a men's T20 World Cup from mid-October too, with games against Pakistan and Australia before then.

Also, if the Hundred has made you want to take up cricket and give it a go, you can find out more about how to do that in our handy guide.

  3. 'I thought we might have thrown it away'

Trent Rockets head coach Andy Flower on Sky Sports: "I'm very proud. It was so tight, a tight match on a difficult pitch. The character of both sides shone through in the way they fought I thought.

"Manchester in the field were outstanding, taking their catches, and we jittered a little but it was a great game to watch, even though it was a slightly tricky pitch.

"I was happy the skipper was on strike at the end because he is a cool customer. Throughout the tournament he has been really calm in all situations and I was quite happy with him facing up.

"I thought we might well have thrown it away - I was trying to keep my calm face on!"

On missing Rashid and Shamsi: "Both those guys are world-class bowlers. They're brilliant for any franchise they play for and wrist-spinners are so valuable in this format.

"But [Matt] Carter is a good bowler, he's smart, he's skilful, he doesn't get flustered. I was pretty comfortable with him coming in and he held himself well."

On Sam Cook: "I didn't know Cooky very well until the end of the last Hundred and he got a few games. He was brilliant under pressure, very clear about what he wanted to do and skilful. He nailed his yorkers in this tournament."

  4. 'It is pretty special'

Trent Rockets captain Lewis Gregory speaking to BBC Two: "I just looked at the ball as hard as I could and hit it as hard as I could. To get over the line in a tight one is pretty special.

"It was better out in the middle. When I was in the dug-out I was more nervous.

"It's a great feeling for the guys - they've worked hard. It's just about staying as calm you can. It's just another game of cricket.

"We've been really fluid throughout the field and we have played really well. It's a really proud moment. Our bowling has been outstanding and we've not got it wrong.

"Samit has been outstanding, he's been fantastic. He's always asking for the ball."

  5. 'I've got a 6:30am taxi to the airport'

Trent Rockets Colin Munro speaking to BBC Two: "The wicket wasn't easy.

"When we needed 11 off five balls I thought it would be a super over and then our skipper did the work.

"It was just a little bit of pressure and it had an impact on the game. Manchester Originals bowled really well but we should've chased that a bit more than we did.

"I've got a 6:30am taxi to the airport to play in the Caribbean Premier League, so I think it will be an all-nighter and sleep on the plane."

  6. 'It was as nervous as I've ever been watching cricket'

Trent Rockets batter Alex Hales on Sky Sports: "I'm a bit lost for words and exhausted from all the running around. Incredible effort from us, the bowlers have been fantastic all tournament and Dawid [Malan] at the top has been outstanding. For us to get the win feels special.

"It was probably as nervous as I've ever been watching a game of cricket at the end. It's hard when you're already out and there is nothing you can do about it. But for us to win it that way, it feels even better."

  7. 'Runs would mean nothing without the trophy'

Trent Rockets batter Dawid Malan on Sky Sports: "Winning is more important than the runs, it would mean nothing if we didn't get over the line tonight so great credit to the team for putting that in."

On partnership with Hales: "It seemed to work for us this year, we got our combinations right with a long batting line-up that has allowed us to be really aggressive. It didn't really work out tonight.

"It was a really tricky wicket that wasn't great for strokeplay but we found a way with the depth in our batting. Credit has to go to our bowlers for restricting them to that total."

On Lewis Gregory: "It's great to have someone of that experience, not only as captain but to be there at the end. It's so crucial in games like that to have experienced people who have been there in situations like that before."

  8. 'Flower has driven us to this victory'

Match hero Trent Rockets Sam Cook on Sky Sports: "It's all a bit overwhelming now but an amazing feeling. It's a brilliant tournament, it's been so fun to play in and to cap it off with a win is just the icing on the cake.

"I'm glad I didn't have to go in at the end, I was a bit nervous on the bench but it was an unbelievable finish from Lewis [Gregory] under pressure. A really good win.

"I played a little bit of T20 cricket here before and yorkers are something that have worked here before. We talked about it before the game with the long straight boundaries so it was nice to nail them and get some wickets with them.

"We've had an amazing atmosphere off the pitch as well, everyone has got on so well. It's been a real family atmosphere.

"[Andy Flower] is an incredible coach, world renowned, he's won plenty of competitions at the highest level and that is no accident. He's an incredible coach and he's really driven us on to this victory."

  9. Post update

Sam Cook was brilliant for Trent Rockets with the new ball tonight.

He finished with 4-18 from his 20 balls. Here are the first three of his wickets.

He played a bit part in Rockets winning the trophy.

  10. 'Rockets played the better cricket throughout'

Manchester Originals' captain Laurie Evans speaking to BBC Two: "You've got to hand it to the Trent Rockets, they played the better cricket throughout.

"I think we misread the pitch early on. I think all the way through we lost too many wickets and they bowled well. We just didn't get over the line today.

"The atmosphere has been unbelievable and Bastille at half-time was giving me goosebumps."

  11. Post update

    Carlos Brathwaite

West Indies all-rounder on BBC Two

Andy Flower is a man you want to move mountains for. I had the privilege of playing under him.

  12. What goes through a bowler's head at the end?

    Gleeson

Just to give you a bit of an idea of what would have been going through Richard Gleeson's head at the end there. I spoke to him pre-tournament about defending 15 runs from the final set of five balls (Rockets needed 11 tonight). This is what he said:

What sort of conversation would you be having with the captain and other bowlers?

First question is does he scoop? For me that is always my first question if I’m not sure if he’ll scoop. It tends to be, you’ve got to leave an area open, so what area is best to open. What is that batters highest risk shot? If they do all the scoops and scoop both ways, are you going to put third and fine leg back and say ‘right, hit me back over my head then’ or do you have the third and fine leg up if you know they don’t scoop and have your men back straight.

What about momentum swings - four or six first ball and it is in the batters favour - how do you process that, park it and move on to concentrate on the next delivery?

If it tends to go for four or six then you probably haven’t executed what you wanted to execute so it is about having the nerve to go again and back that you’ve got the right option and the right plan. We spoke a little bit at Lancashire this year about just going one more ball and giving it one more ball if we’re getting it right then make them hit more than just one ball to get away with it. It is about in that pressure situation ‘what do I need to do on the next one?' You’ve got to put it out of your mind and focus on the next ball and what’s to come. If you dwell on what you’ve just done then it tends to go wrong again so it is about being clear in your head about what your effective ball is.

Lewis Hall: Such a good competition and a great final! So much potential and room to grow!

  14. 'Someone has always put their hand up'

Trent Rockets captain Lewis Gregory: "It's nice to be there at the end and get the team over the line. The lads have been fantastic throughout this competition. This is a pretty special moment.

"I was just trying to hit the middle of the bat. Obviously we needed some boundaries and luckily I was able to get that one away (for six) and then the next ball. Sometimes things go your way.

"Credit to the Manchester boys, they put up a fantastic fight tonight. That second half, they were outstanding and to get through after where they were is a magnificent achievement for those guys.

"The good thing about this squad is that someone has always put their hand up when we've needed it. Samit [Patel] has been fantastic, [Sam] Cook, Dawid [Malan], [Alex] Halesy up top, the guys have been fantastic and it's nice to get over the line tonight.

"What a place to play. To win a final here is amazing and the crowd have been fantastic tonight and throughout the whole competition."

  15. Post update

Here is the moment that Trent Rockets become men's Hundred champions.

They join Southern Brave in having won the men's competition.

  16. Post update

Oval Invincibles women are on the outfield and we are going to have a joint photo for the two winners.

Some of the Invincibles' girls are having piggy backs round the Lord's outfield.

It is going to be a lively evening for both sides I reckon.

Thoroughly deserved winners. They've been the best in the tournament for me.

Lewis Gregory lifts the Hundred trophy

Trent Rockets have lifted the trophy at Lord's!

Lewis Gregory, who expertly saw his side over the line, lifts it aloft. The rest of the squad go crazy behind him.

They've been brilliant throughout the tournament. They've scored a bucket load of runs with the bat and have bowled and fielded extremely well too.

They were the best team in the men's tournament this year and deserve to take the trophy home.
