MARQUETTE, Mich. - Eight student-athletes from the NMU women's lacrosse team were honored with post-season All-GLIAC awards, with four named First Team All-GLIAC.
Minnie Bittell,
Josie Lakosky,
Kaitlyn Bridger, and
Dayna Carlson earned First-Team honors,
Maddi Bast and
Natalie Thomas landed on the Second-Team, and the duo of
Lauren Esposito and
Olivia Rose earned honorable mention.

"So much of the success we achieved this season came from the willpower of the athletes who are being honored this year with All-GLIAC awards," says head coach
Lindsey (LeMay) Majkrzak. "They set a standard for the way we wanted to act, play, and be. I'm so proud of each of them for how they stepped up in their individual position and brought the team with them with every step."

FIRST TEAM ALL-GLIAC
Attack
Minnie Bittell continued to add to her impressive resume, earning her fourth-consecutive First Team All-GLIAC honor. The senior posted program and career highs to lead the GLIAC by a large margin in overall goals (67), assists (31), and points (98) during the regular season, along with hitting 300 career points earlier this season. A dominant force in the center circle, Minnie's 74 draw controls were second among the GLIAC.
Newly crowned GLIAC Freshman of the Year,
Josie Lakosky earned herself her foremost All-GLIAC honor after she finished the regular season fourth in goals (40) and points (52) across all GLIAC student-athletes. Josie started in all 16 games she appeared in and led the 'Cats in caused turnovers with 16.
Midfielder
Senior
Kaitlyn Bridger earned herself a back-to-back First Team All-GLIAC selection after a successful 2024 campaign. The fourth year started in all 17 matches for the Green and Gold, where she was second in assists (12) and third in both goals (34) and points (47) among the Wildcats. Bridger recently hit 100 career draw controls, with 60 of those coming this season; a mark that was good for second on the team and third across the GLIAC landscape.
Defender
A heartbeat of the Wildcat defense, third-year
Dayna Carlson earned her second All-GLIAC honor of her career, jumping from 2023 Honorable Mention to 2024 First Team selection. Dayna started in all 17 games during the regular season, where she was third in caused turnovers (14) and posted 24 ground balls. The defender scored twice this season, one of those coming as the game-winning goal against McKendree.
SECOND TEAM ALL-GLIAC
Defender
An attacker converted to a defender, third-year
Maddi Bast earned her third-consecutive All-GLIAC Second Team honor in her first season as a defender. A consistent force on the back end, Maddi posted 13 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and five draw controls during the regular season.Â
Freshman defender
Natalie Thomas earned her first All-GLIAC honor with a second-team selection. Natalie started in 16 and played in all 17 games for the Green and Gold, making an impact on the back end as she led all Wildcat field players in ground balls (33) and caused turnovers (16) along with posting the fifth most draw controls (19) in her first season as a Wildcat.
HONORABLE MENTION ALL-GLIAC
Lauren Esposito came in as a freshman and took the reigns between the pipes, playing in all 17 games for the 'Cats. In her first season, Esposito allowed the second-fewest goals against (137), held the second-best GAA (9.14) and made 114 saves with a 45.4 SV%.
A steady and consistent student-athlete,
Olivia Rose earned her first All-GLIAC honor in her third season, as the midfielder posted a second-consecutive season of starting in every game for the Green and Gold. Rose set career-season highs in ground balls (20) this year along with posting four caused turnovers and two draw controls.Â
