Charles T. Baker, aka Chuck Baker, is an astronaut who came from Planet Earth and landed on Planet 51.
He’s first shown to be this egotistical primadonna, always stating that he has the “right stuff”, but as the movie progresses, he softens up with his new alien friends and realizes that the universe doesn’t revolve around him.

- In earlier versions of the movie, Chuck wasn’t supposed to remove his helmet until the final act
- This was The Rock’s first animated role
- There is some rare footage of him and Lem singing a duet, but that idea was scrapped mid production
- There’s one quick moment where you can spot Chuck in an alternate outfit. It is during the scene where the military is taking his things out of his ship, one of them being a magazine with him in said outfit (and with some hidden gags in it)
