Hollywood Records has released the cover version of the Bee Gees’ song Islands in the Stream from last week’s episode of ABC’s hit show “9-1-1.” The episode was titled There Goes the Groom).
The track (originally written by Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb) was produced by Nick Marzock and performed by Jennifer Love Hewitt (who plays Maddie Buckley in the series).

Season 7 premiered in March and ABC’s most-watched current series across all platforms this season. According to Deadline, the season seven premiere of 9-1-1 in March delivered a cumulative audience of 11.76 million total viewers within the first seven days, and marked the series’ highest-rated multiplatform telecast in nearly two years in Adults 18-49.
“9-1-1” is an American procedural drama television series created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders: police officers, paramedics, firefighters and dispatchers. The series premiered on January 3, 2018, originally on Fox.
The series stars Angela Bassett as Athena Grant, Peter Krause as Bobby Nash, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie Kendall, Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley, Kenneth Choi as Howie “Chimney” Han, Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson, Ryan Guzman as Eddie Diaz and Gavin McHugh as Christopher Diaz.
Past seasons of ‘9-1-1’ can be streamed on Hulu, while they are exclusively available on Disney+ in numerous countries, including the UK and Canada. The series has been renewed for an eighth season.
