Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice mosque - the most impressive I have seen in Lebanon. You may enter the mosque between 8:30 - 11:00 most days. The interior design is also beautiful with large chandeliers and mosaics.

Mosque located just up from square of Martyrs in downtown Beirut. You cannot access the mosque but some stunning views from outside. Take a guide to get the full interesting history of the building and the development of the site/area.

Located near Martyr's square, it stands out and is a great background for some amazing pictures, but the mosque is barely ever open - it was closed even on Eid El Adha!!!

This church will surprise you in many ways. It's an eighteenth century church that was built on top of a much earlier one from the 4th century. The much older church had been forgotten for hundreds of years, but a bombardment that took place during the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990) unveiled the ancient church when a bomb bore a hole through the newer church's floor. It is possible to visit the older church during the day through a separate entrance to the left of the newer church's main door
