Ellen Page's Girlfriend Samantha Thomas: 5 Things to Know

Ellen Page is in love and she doesn’t care who knows it. The actress brought girlfriend Samantha Thomas to the premiere of her film Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday – the couple’s red carpet debut.

Page gushed about Thomas, telling E! News, “I’m in love.”

But who is the tall blonde? Here are five things to know about Thomas.

1. She’s an artist.
Thomas is a talented artist who works across a variety of disciplines, including oil painting and modern abstract and structural pieces, according to her personal website. Her latest series of work, “Texture/Paramater,” explores “the limits of the traditional canvas.”

In 2016, Thomas will present her work in a solo show at the Anat Ebgi gallery in Los Angeles, according to her site.

2. She loves to surf.
In a cover interview with Baku magazine, Thomas revealed that she starts her day with a wave ride in either Malibu or Venice Beach.

She and Page also document her surfing prowess on social media, often sharing images from Thomas’ time in the ocean.

3. She’s a talented golfer.
The Texas native was offered a golf scholarship to the University of Tulsa, she said in her Baku interview. Thomas decided to leave behind her talent on the green, however, and instead moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in a fine art course at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

4. She and Page know how to have a good time.

Although they only just made their first red carpet appearance as a couple this week, Page and Thomas have been painting the town red on a variety of fun-filled dates. Last week they won prizes at a carnival and, earlier this year, the pair took in a hockey game.

5. Thomas and Page are each other’s biggest fans.
The couple appear to be avid supporters of each other’s careers. Page has visited Thomas’ gallery installations, and the artist celebrated her talented girlfriend’s new film on social media.
