High school is arguably the most transformative time of a person's life. My own experience has been filled with more memories, laughter, stress. My school life was surely a learning experience. The confidence and motivation it gave me, I couldn't get anywhere else. Most importantly, it is the place where I recognized my uniqueness and individuality. My school life is no less than a treasure for me which gave me invaluable joys in life. Good things about High School is you make friends, clubs, and sports. It's a safe place to break the mold, explore outside preconceived notions or deny idealized perspectives before venturing into adulthood. High school is a place for learning how to think critically, ask deeper questions, and challenge oneself personally while collaborating with fellow classmates.School life teaches us lots of new things and prepares us to face all the challenges of life. I love my school life and really enjoy it. I have lots of friends, and all my teachers love me.
My experience so far as a student in High Point High School, has not been ideal. The school faculty lacks priorities and focuses on minor issues instead of major issues that can not only affect students but also the school itself. Seeing my fellow peers smoking or doing drugs in the school while the faculty ignore these actions. My worst experience was earlier this school year, October 2023, when I was nearly caught in the action of a gang shootout between students on school premises. Although my experiences, have not been the best, one of the best experiences I've had was last school year. I was in a gym class with a few guys and girls, and although we all have our own backgrounds, it felt like we were family. We were more than just classmates or peers. I wish the school could change the student culture, and more kids can have the same experience that I had with the kids in gym class. I hope to see students have fun in class and work together, not skip class together.
I found that in High Point High School, the experience is what one makes of it. The school has enough resources, dedicated staff, and a decently sized property for students to be successful. Unfortunately, the school is overpopulated by students, which causes all of the resources, staff, and available physical spaces to be stretched thin .
