Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla is one of the renowned universities in India. HPU is accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC & it is UGC approved. HPU offers several courses at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. Admission to most of the programs is based on the merits of the qualifying exam or HPU entrance exams. HPU Admission

HPU offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses in a variety of disciplines. HPU Admission is based on the merits of the qualifying exam or HPU entrance exams. Application Process

To apply online for HPU admissions, one must follow the below mentioned steps:

Firstly, students must visit the university website.
Scroll the Page and click on the “Online Application” option.
Click on the “Admission” option.
Choose the program and click on the program name
Before clicking on the program please click on the instructions for filling an online application form, a pdf file will be open, kindly read it carefully.
Click on the program name for which you are willing to apply.
Kindly check the terms and conditions. After that, you will be redirected to the personal information page.

Please fill in the personal information first.
After filling in the personal information click on the Save button at the last of the page.
The system will generate the Unique Registration number and the password will be sent to the registered email and mobile number. Note it down.
Now click on the “Move to next step” button.
Fill in your education details and attach all the necessary documents.
Now click on Submit. You will be directed to the fee payment page.
Pay the required application fee.
Submit the application form.
Take the printout of the application form and keep it for future reference.

HPU Facilities

Library: The library includes a total number of 2,11,685 books. The institute has a good collection of about 10000 books on Information Technology and allied areas. An amount of more than 3 lac Rs. has been spent to purchase the latest editions of quality books needed by the students. A good reading space has also been provided for the students. Library also subscribes to about 20 computer magazines/Journals besides daily newspapers. Institute Library has plans to create a special section of e-books, CD-ROM, and other resource material to provide a resource bank of shared wares and other learning material. Students also have access to the Main Library of the University.
Hostel: HPU provides accommodation facilities and it has 14 hostels, 4 for boys and 10 for girls. There are accommodations for approximately 1058 girls and 589 boys students. All hostels have facilities including Mess, Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi and LAN, Common Room equipped with LED TV, current magazines, newspapers, and Indoor games. A Dining hall is maintained hygienically for boarders to enjoy their meals. Check HPU Hostel.
Guest House: The university has a guest house for the guest lecturers who come for the special sessions. The guest house has a total number of 27 suites. There is also a dormitory for the staff accompanying guests. The accommodation facilities include six persons.
Internet Connection: Both LAN and wifi facility is provided by the university. HPU has been provided a dedicated leased line of 10 Mbps bandwidth as part of UGC Infonet for higher education. University Institute of Information Technology is part of the Campus-Wide Optical Fibre Network on which an internet facility is available.

Internship opportunities can vary greatly depending on the department, field of study, and industry connections of the university.

Dislikes

Loan/scholarship facilities were given by colleges and universities, but there was also free or reduced fees for poor students, including bus fees and other college fees.
They dont have the hostel. All students have to pay more for studying. They have to stay in expensive PGs, so it is really very bad for this college.

The kindness and helpful nature of the teacher's, they all are very understanding and they always try to make us to study new things in new styles.
Campus is also very neat and clean and they plant more and more trees for the greenery of the college.

Dislikes

The washroom are very messy and the maintenance pd washroom are very poor and dirty.

Admission:

The admission process is online through the website of the college in which we have to fill up all the information about us and the courses which we want to do then they give us the counselling dates in which students get merit list seats or paid seats. And last we have to pay fees according to our seats. And then the classes begins.

Infrastructure is the main i disliked in college . There is no proper management of classes no proper ventilation also was there
Campus was also not so big. College has no proper facility of drinking water sometimes in summers

Admission:

I took admission through management basis so I dint gave any entrance exam.but yes many students gave entrance exam for govt seat. Students who has cleared 12 class with physics chemistry and biology with 50% marks are eligible for applying for bsc nursing course .

The college has a very interesting approach towards learning. The management is very helpful when needed.
There are many sports available in the campus like kabaddi, badminton, basketball and some indoor games like chess, carrom and table tennis

Dislikes

The campus is small so there is not much to roam and there not many fests or functions held in college. The campus is not very large.
Library is not that big and there are limited books in the library.

Admission:

The eligibility for the course is that that you must score minimum 55% in your +2 exams. No there are no entrance exams to apply for the collage. You can find the application form online or you can visit the collage to fill the application form. The application fee is 750.

The atmosphere was very peaceful. The campus is easy reachable and good transportation facilities are available.
the infrastructure is new as compared to the other colleges under the HP university

Dislikes

Student toilets are very pathetic and unhygienic.
The teacher and staff was very underqualified.

Admission:

You need to score minimum of 65% in the board PCB subjects. they conduct a regional cutoff which is expected to go as low as 75%. Yes there are special seats for the reserved community. The exams are held in every two months mid sem and end sem.

Clean environment better quality of education and the students are well mannered. Teachers are also well qualified.
Busses are available and they drop you at the closest point to your home. Other staff like peon and receptionist are also well mannered.

Dislikes

Too far from my home and if your are opting for boys hostel its not good.
Cleanliness in boys hostel is almost none. Some students are politically connected and try to harm the peacefull environment in university.

Admission:

Minimum percentage should be above 55% in B. Com if you want to take admissions in M. com. There is a entrance test for the M. com. Application form is available on there official site fees applications and dates are also provided by them on there site. There are reservation benefits interval between the semester is approv. 5-6 months. There sites do gets crash if overloaded. They should work on there official side and make it more comfortable.

Nice college for girls if you live in Shimla

The faculty. especially the teachers are very helpful and always provide informative notes
Since the student to teacher ratio is very less so each student is given equal attention and classes are more interactive

Dislikes

There are not many placements provided to the students especially if you are arts students there isn't any
The college is confined to certain rules and regulations which one may find controlling

Admission:

For being eligible for this course you must have studied mathematics in your 11th and 12 th class and you should have passed your 12th with 50% or more. The college is only for girls. Application form is available online from the months of May to July . The online portal has made admissions much easier

Campus is quite beautiful as decorated by beautiful plants

Somehow practical knowledge is lacking ..
Parking facility should be enhanced and college ground should be increased

Admission:

For eligibility in bsc botany you must have completed your 12th with good marks so that you can easily comes under the merit list uploaded by the college. Prospectus fee have to be paid earlier and that is 30rupees.reservation is also available for sc st obc and other category as well. For improvement in admission process server or the site need to be updated or maintained.

I liked a lot about the way of teaching .theoretical as well as practical learning is amazing to follow.
Patients flow is very good and a variety of patients come with their problems regularly throughout the year.

Dislikes

Campus is not much larger as compared to other colleges
College canteen is not good and the food is average.

Admission:

Eligibility of the course is around 240 marks in neet ug exam . Application is found on nta website Application fee is 50000 Application dates are around September to October every year Mainly seats are booked for state quota students but managamets quota students are also high in number Exams are based on neet ug so the difficulty is all the same of students and decided by cbse There is no area of improvement in the admissions process
