19 Kids and Counting introduced viewers to the Duggar family, and it's time to discuss the clan's expanding family tree. The Duggars drew attention, entertained, and got good ratings. Parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar seemed to handle it all rather seamlessly. Their unconventional way of life looked almost idyllic onscreen, as they raised their children with strong Christian values.
Just when it seems like the family can't get any bigger, their family tree continues to grow. The kids are getting older, marrying, and having children of their own. Jill and Jessa Duggar shared their own story of marriage and motherhood in their spin-off show, Jill and Jessa Counting On. However, 19 Kids and Counting was just the start, and since the show originally aired in 2008, the Duggar family has evolved.
Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar
Jim Bob was born on July 18, 1965, to parents Mary Duggar and Jimmy Lee Duggar. Jim Bob has one older sister, Deanna Duggar. When he started taking his faith seriously, he met the woman who would soon become his future wife. Michelle Ruark was born on September 13, 1966, to parents Ethel Ruark and Garrett Ruark. Michelle is the youngest of seven children, with siblings Evelyn, Pamela, Carolyn, Freda, Kathie, and Garrett Ruark. Jim Bob and Michelle hit it off almost instantly when they met. They tied the knot on July 21, 1984.
Josh Duggar
Josh Duggar's the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle, and was born on March 3, 1988. He quickly became a familiar face on 19 Kids and Counting. His teenage years were caught on camera, and so were his courtship and subsequent marriage. Josh met his girlfriend (the future Anna Duggar) in 2006, at a homeschooling convention. Their engagement, wedding, and growing family were major storylines on the show.
The couple married on September 26, 2008, and they now have seven children together. They are Mackynzie Renee, Michael James, Marcus Anthony, Meredith Grace, Mason Garrett, Maryella Hope, and Madyson Lily. Everything came crashing down when Josh's sexual abuse allegations surfaced in 2015.
Jana Duggar
Jana Duggar is a twin, and was born on January 12, 1990. Unlike some of her other siblings, she's decided to walk her own path in life. She currently isn't married, and doesn't have any children. Since her reality fame via 19 Kids and Counting has died down, she's been focusing on her own dreams, passions, and aspirations. Getting married and becoming a mother isn't number one on her priority list at the moment, and she's taking it day by day.
John David Duggar
John David Duggar is Jana's twin brother, and was born on January 12, 1990. He's found his version of happiness after 19 Kids and Counting, by starting his own family. He was engaged to Abbie Burnett for just a few months when they exchanged vows at the altar on November 3, 2018. They have two children together (Grace Annette, born in 2020) and son Charlie (who was born in 2022). John and Abbie love the life they've created together. They're so thrilled to be a family of four.
Jill Duggar
Jill's one of the most recognizable siblings from 19 Kids and Counting. She's spoken out against her family, and rebelled against their strict rules. Jill is finding herself again after everything she's been through. She was born on May 17, 1991. Jill met her now husband Derick Dillard through her father, Jim Bob. The couple started courting shortly after they met. They tied the knot on June 21, 2014.
It hasn't always been an easy road, as Jill claims she didn't earn a dime during her time on television. Despite everything, she's built a life that she's proud of, and has two sons that she absolutely adores. Jill and Derick welcomed two boys (Israel David, born in 2015) and Samuel Scott (who was born in 2017).
Jessa Duggar
Jessa was born on November 4, 1992. The 19 Kids and Counting alum notably spoke out against her brother Josh. She alleged that she was one of his sexual abuse victims. Jessa struggled with the aftermath of the situation, but she's had a supportive man by her side. Jessa married Ben Seewald on November 1, 2014. They have four children together, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern.
Jinger Duggar
Jinger Duggar was born on December 21, 1993. The 19 Kids and Counting star married former American soccer player Jeremy Vuolo on November 5, 2016. The couple have two children together (Felicity, born in July 2018), and Evangeline (born in November 2020).
Joseph Duggar
Joseph Duggar was born on January 20, 1995. Since appearing on 19 Kids and Counting, he's grown up and started his own family. He tied the knot with Kendra Caldwell on September 8, 2017, and the couple shares three children. They are Garrett, Addison, and Brooklyn Duggar.
Josiah Duggar
Josiah Duggar was born on August 28, 1996. Since 19 Kids and Counting wrapped up, he's moved on to bigger and better things. He married his wife Lauren Swanson on June 30, 2018. The couple have an adorable daughter named Bella Milagro, who was born on November 8, 2019.
Joy-Anna Duggar

Jason Duggar
Jason Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting was born on April 21, 2000. Currently, Jason isn't married, and doesn't have any children. He's a successful contractor. Jason is ambitious, as he spends a lot of time focusing on his business.
James Duggar
James Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting was born on July 7, 2001. He's active on Instagram, and enjoys traveling and working. He recently started taking flying lessons. At the moment, he isn’t dating anyone.
Justin Duggar
Justin Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting was born on November 15, 2002. He married Claire Spivey on February 26, 2021. They currently do not have any children together.
Jackson Duggar
Jackson Duggar entered the Duggar family on May 23, 2004. Jim Bob and Michelle are proud of the man he's growing up to be. He enjoys singing, telling jokes, and riding his bike.
Johanna Duggar

Amy married Dillon King on September 6, 2015. They welcomed their son Daxton Ryan into their family on October 9, 2019. Amy took part in the new documentary, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which details her family's dark past.
Tyler Hutchins
Tyler Hutchins was born on February 10, 2008. While he isn't in the biological line-up of children on 19 Kids and Counting, he is a big part of the Duggar family. He is the great-nephew of Michelle. He was placed in permanent custody with Jim Bob and Michelle in November 2016.
