About Immaculate Heart

Monsignor Clement Connelly, Pastor Emeritus of Holy Family Church in South Pasadena, presided over the Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2024 and their families. In his homily, he encouraged students to recognize the importance of asking questions and embracing their mistakes as they find where they belong. "There's a destiny for each and every one of you," he assured them. "There's a plan in life, hidden from you now, but to be revealed as you follow the questions in your life."
At our graduation ceremony on the stage of the Hollywood Bowl, speaker Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, Class of 1969, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, remembered her own time at Immaculate Heart and celebrated the Class of 2024. "We need you, Pandas," she told them. "The world needs Immaculate Heart women now more than ever. ... No one has been better prepared to tackle the troubles of the world, or bring more compassion to a planet in such dire need. So get out there!"

A Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12, Immaculate Heart has been located on a beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles since our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906. We celebrate more than a century of nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, social and moral development of students as they distinguish themselves as women of great heart and right conscience.
