Lovely Runner, starring Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok, is a new K-drama that began airing in April and has been releasing new episodes weekly leading to the finale. Lovely Runner is another in a long line of K-dramas adapted from a webtoon, taking inspiration from the web novel Tomorrow's Best. Lovely Runner's screen adaptation comes from the same writer as True Beauty.The story follows avid K-pop fan Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon), who, following the death of her favorite K-pop idol Ryu Sun-jae (Byeon Woo-seok), goes back in time to try and stop Sun-jae's untimely death.

Though now over halfway into its run, the time travel K-drama has strayed away from clichés to present a story that is as funny as it is heartwarming. Despite the complications that unpredictable time travel can present, each new episode of Lovely Runner has deepened Sun-jae and Sol's relationship, creating strong chemistry from leading actors Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok, who were hand-picked for their respective roles. Though the success of Queen of Tears is hard to follow, Lovely Runner is Queen of Tears' perfect replacement and is quickly becoming one of the best K-dramas of 2024.

Lovely Runner premiered on April 8, 2024, and will continue to release two episodes a week until its finale on May 28, 2024. New episodes of Lovely Runner air on Mondays and Tuesdays in South Korea on TVN, and are made available on the same day for global viewers on streaming platform Rakuten Viki. Without a subscription, the first two episodes of Lovely Runner are free to view on Viki, though to be able to watch the full series a subscription to the platform is needed.

Keeping in line with the traditional K-drama format, Lovely Runner will have a total of sixteen episodes, with episodes 9 and 10 airing most recently.
