Garett Bischoff Discusses His Recent Appearance In IMPACT, Says He Was Contacted At The Last Second

Garett Bischoff discusses his recent return to IMPACT Wrestling.

IMPACT Wrestling has had plenty of major storylines in 2022, but many fans will argue that the story involving the Honor No More faction is still the biggest and most newsworthy story that the company has put out this year. IMPACT clearly made a effort to make it a big storyline as well, as they brought in plenty of the company's past names to face Honor No More during their run.

One of those names was Garett Bischoff, who is the son of Eric Bischoff. Garett, who was with the company from 2011-2013, came in during a TV taping in May as a part of the Aces & Eights reunion against Honor No More.

In a new interview with Kerry Morton of The Family Business, Bischoff noted that he got the call for his return only two days before it went down.

“So, I didn’t have any time to think, because D’Lo Brown called me on a Thursday night and the taping was on Saturday. So there was no prepping, there was no conditioning, there was ‘Hey, you wanna be here Saturday?’ I said ‘What are we doing?’ He said ‘Aces & Eights.’ So I go ‘You’re telling me I just need jeans and a vest? Alright, I’ll see you Saturday.’ I hadn’t even been in a ring in like a year, I hadn’t even touched the canvas. It was a blast, we had a lot of fun. I worked with Kenny King a couple of times when I was in IMPACT [full-time]. Again, Kenny’s a great guy and a true professional and if you can’t have a great match with him, then I don’t know what you can do. It was great being back with him. We went out there and had fun, we did what we did and there was no expectation other than to go out there and keep each other safe and have a good match. That’s what we did."

Since ending his full-time stint with IMPACT Wrestling in 2013, Bischoff has wrestled for select independent promotions in a part-time manner.

In 2021, Bischoff welcomed a child into the world with his wife, Mary Jane Bischoff.
