    Great venue . Starters really good. great steak peppercorn sauce very poor like water and no sign it have ever seen peppercorns. Deserts need a little more presentation thoughts lemon tart was literally a slice of lemon tart plonked on plate tasted lovely but something like couple raspberries or a coulis would have made the desert

    Beautiful bang in season tasting menu. Just perfect. Tempura oyster with wild garlic was delicious followed by a crispy egg with asparagus which was a divine vegetarian take on a scotch egg. Sea trout and Halibut followed (the latter a pescatarian swap for the lamb) and both were beautifully light, fresh and delicious. We asked to have the cheese course (available as an extra course) instead of the dessert and the team were more than happy to oblige. Amazing!

    We were in Newcastle for two nights. We loved everything about 21 on the first night so went again for our second night. The prix fixe menu was such good value. If v only we b lived nearer!

    Another wonderful meal at 21. This time it was pre-theatre fixed price menu and luckily we had enough time to have 3 courses. Beautifully presented and while this is not perhaps the cheapest of fixed price menus it is totally worth it. Thankyou

    Delicious food chosen from a wide ranging menu; sensitive but excellent service; ambience very pleasant and worth every penny. I had chicken with mushroom ravioli which was an unusual but great combination followed by chocolate soufflé. Who could ask for more!
