Evelien, spastically paralyzed since birth, first discovers lingerie, sex toys, and the pleasures of her own body in middle age. After experiencing mostly clinical touch all her life, she longs for her first satisfying sexual experience. To do so, she embarks on a journey of sexual self-exploration, through a visit to the sex store to contacting a specialized sex worker. Sexual Healing offers a perspective on the intersections of sexuality, disability, and gender, illuminating experiences that are often excluded from social discourse.
