- A: Sounds like you should upgrade. The 128GB is for storage not the ram. The ram pertains to the new chip A15 bionic chip and it is 4GB. If your device is shutting down after 10 minutes. Then you need or should upgrade to the new Apple TV. I have the 128GB model and so far it is head and shoulders better than the previous devices. By the way I have owned all the previous versions.
