I’ve gone to the Grand Concourse many times and held several events there and usually have a great time. This time was one of the worst and most likely my last time there. Our waitress had an issue and had to leave which was ok, the service after was absolutely terrible. We were ignored for almost an hour and several times when we asked for help they were rude and dismissive and it took going to the host stand to get our check.

I made reservations weeks ago for a special event to celebrate when we got there. The main dining room was already closed for a private event, which I wish we had been notified of prior to our reservation. It took a very long time to get our food one person in our party ordered a steak that was to be done, medium rare, and it was well. We had to send it back Was very slow due to the large party that was already in the main dining room and the food in my opinion that I had was subpar. My husband felt the same way about his very disappointing for the price. The reputation that the grand Concourse has did not deliver. I would not recommend For others to celebrate a special event at there are many other places in Pittsburgh. Very sad that this is the way it turned out.

The service was outstanding. We had Kiev as a server and she did an incredible job. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had a great view of the city from our seats. I would definitely recommend

I visited Grand Concourse for a business lunch on a Wednesday, and it was just wonderful. Excellent service (thank you Amanda!), wonderful atmosphere, not loud at all -- which was perfect for conversation -- and a beautiful view of the river.

Came here for mom‘s 83rd birthday, with a reservation and let them know in advance. I thought for sure they would do a little dessert or at least write happy birthday on the plate for the desserts that we ordered but there was no acknowledgment. There was a hair in the butter that had to be sent back. There was a mistake in one of the orders that had to be sent back. There was a scissor lift running in the main restaurant whose beeping could be heard throughout the meal. The filet mignon had either been frozen and thawed multiple time or just plain old because even though it was ordered rare it was gray the whole way through and grainy /mealy. Just overall really disappointed in the whole experience. Wouldn’t come here for a special occasion again.

We took our chances going to dinner on Sunday evening knowing that the sumptuous brunch had ended only a few hours earlier. We wanted to eat outside at the Gandy Dancer but were told no server could wait tables there. So we hesitantly agreed to eat at the main restaurant. While our final bill was much more than we had planned to pay for dinner, we were not disappointed in our food. My Shrimp over lunguine was one of the best meals I've ever had at this restaraunt. My husband and his brother both enjoyed their crab cakes, and my sister-in-law, who ordered the chicken was quite pleased. All of us enjoyed our starters of Martha's Vineyard Salad, Iceberg wedge, and gazpacho (it was very oniony). My only disappointment was they are no longer serving the fish pate with crackers as part of the bread service. Our waiter was quite good, but had a bit of an attitude.

Unfortunately we had a 20 minute wait after our reservation time. The food is always very good and plentiful. The waitstaff were friendly, but not very attentive. I was disappointed with the Bananas Foster (one of my all time favorites), the sauce was cold and lacking the normal sweetness. All this being said, I still love the Grand Concourse. It’s a must when we have out of town guest! Will I be back for brunch again? Absolutely!! It’s still my all time favorite place for brunch!

Poor food quality/variety. There’s no dress code, some people were dressed like they were going to jump in the river for a swim. Service was slow and was not busy Food is meh.

Food is always good, but the prices are high. $25 dollars for a 4 year old is pretty high since they still Barely eat anything and my other child was charged as an adult not sure what age adult pricing starts but he doesn’t really Eat enough for an adult either. I wish they had pricing that was more reasonable for kids. Everything else is great and they have a lot of variety and options .

The choices of brunch items were abundant, there is something for everyone's taste. The wait staff at The Grand Concourse are well seasoned professionals, kind, accommodating, and attentive. I would highly recommend The Grand Concourse to friends and family and I look forward to a future visit.

Great choices on luncheon menu. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Wait staff was attentive and courteous. Our table was located at the window and provided beautiful view of the river and city.

Very good experience, just the place itself is something to see. We had a beautiful window seat that you can see the city view and river from. Food is pricey but definitely worth it. Easy access to the trail online the river as well. Highly recommended going here.

GC was recommended by several friends and unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. We were unaware until last minute that it was a buffet format for Mother’s Day and the restaurant was overwhelmed. 7 pm reservations and a 20 min wait to be seated, no plates, tired food at the buffet, wine and drinks arriving after we finished our food and the line shut down before we even got to dessert. Staff seemed stressed, unaccommodating and unaware that kitchen was closing up. The waiter was apologetic and we were comped for our meals but overall it was a very disappointing evening.

Went for mother's day total disappointment. Our waitress was lazy, to say the least, rarely checked on us. Could clearly see she was on her phone. The prime rib on the buffet was raw. We made a statement she seemed disinterested. And I like my prime rib rare, so that is saying a lot . We used to come every Mother's Day. We won't be back. Items on the buffet. We're not kept up with timely, especially the desserts.. Lots of kids running around unattended. My mother is older and it just seemed very chaotic.. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Just a shame. This was such a bad experience. Waitress seem like she could care less.

Celebrating Mother’s Day at the grand concourse was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The 5 year old loved picking out her own food she never experienced a buffet before. And the 2 year old was happy in his high chair eating from his mom’s plate. Food was all delicious. It was very busy. But service was good. We would do it again.

Crab legs? We paid for 5 buffets. zero of us got any crab legs. We saw 3-10 PIGS wait for them to come out and then they each took a platefull. Not just once, but over the period of 2 hours.. Zero crab legs! Also, many of the main items were either empty, cold, or old. I expected more from you!

Sat in a small table furthest away from the buffet - A/C was blowing the whole time it was cold and made the food cold quicker. Small table no room for plates had to use back of larger "booth" to place dishes. Waitress was nice - value was good, food was good - cheddar mashed and turkey was favorite. Layout was bad - carving station ran into the hot foods, people roamed at random not knowing where to go. Restrooms could have used a visit from staff - trash overflow, paper towels on floor - needed attention.

The food was honestly terrible. We have been to 2-3 past special occasion buffet and each time the quality declines. We are never able to reserve the breakfast buffet through Opentable. Our time was 2:45 when things were changing over with long wait and chaos. Salad table was sad with not any options. Side dishes all tasted like fish (including the Mac and cheese). Green beens and carrots were raw with absolutely no flavor. Chicken breast totally overcooked, dry and chewy. Desserts were good and coffee excellent. Atmosphere top notch. Service great

Mother's Day Brunch 1:45 p.m reservation. Food selection was vast covering both breakfast and lunch. Everything was hot and fresh and well stocked. Prime rib was outstanding. You can't top the freshly made donut machine, chocolate station with strawberries, pound cake, churro's, marshmallow and pretzels. Waffle and pancake station made to order with optional banana's foster topping (highly recommend) ice cream is also available if you choose. For Mother's Day fully booked event, I felt it ran very smoothly, was well staffed. We were not rushed at all. It's pricy, about $100 a person with cocktails, but for a special event, I feel it is very much worth the price for the quality and selection of foods, service and ambiance.

Outstanding food, great service. The restaurant has the architecture that has withstood the test of time, and is a very beautiful Landmark. I love going to the Grand Concourse for the architecture and the food. Surprised it is not a Michelin Starred Restaurant, it should be.

We went the Mother’s Day brunch that we heard so much about and WOW what a disappointment it was. It was a scavenger hunt around the restaurant to get portion of your food. The food itself was not better than what you can get and the Eat n Park buffet for way, way less money. What a disappointment this experience was for my wife and the rest of our family. A Mother’s Day we will never forget and not for any good reason. Grand Concourse you should be ashamed of yourself charging that amount of money for low quality breakfast. Laughed all the way to the bank I’m sure…..

Had made these reservations a year ago. Seating was in the bar, table too small for booth seating 6 people. Reservation made for 6 people. Were sat at reservation time, 11:30am. Table was not set up and did not receive our soda order till after 12pm. Plates not cleared in a timely matter. For the high cost of buffet all non-alcoholic drinks should be included in price. Will not be returning.

At $60 an adult. What you get…seating at the second par add on train car section, somewhat warm food, over cooked and barely warm prime rib, a disgruntled omelet lady and a crappy, watery omelet. Staff were friendly and fine. For $169 + tip for 2 adults and a 7 year old, not again. Highlights are chocolate fountain and fresh donuts.

Our waitress was overwhelmed. Our table didn't even have salt and pepper, and when I asked for it, she could only find a pepper shaker, so I took it upon myself to get a salt shaker from an empty table. The food was good but it amazes me how there are fewer offerings on holidays but the buffet is more expensive. The pasta bar was greatly missed, and moving the carving station to that area didn't make it any less noticeable. Overall, it seems to be less enjoyable each year for a variety of reasons.

We have established the Mother’s Day brunch as our family tradition for > 10 years We have always left full and happy, this year full but not as happy Our server was lovely, but service average We sat and waited for our ordered beverages, as time ticked by we decided to head to the buffet Returned to no beverage for another 30 mins. Coffee was refilled infrequently and was Luke warm, our waitress was “on the hunt for salt” for at least an hour, and a request for ketchup was a 20 min wait The food is always delicious, and we love the historical building.
