I understand that normally there is a long wait for seating. On our visit we called ahead and they sat us almost immediately. The server, Chaz, was excellent and the food was even better than excellent. Worth the short drive from Nashville, the visit is more of an event. They smoke their own hams and most everything appears to be home made. I felt like I would burst when we left there and the cost was very reasonable.

Super quaint place, great southern cafe decor, very busy, best if you can make a reservation time. Waitress was a hoot, very fun gal and very efficient. Food was very good and very plentiful, I had the chicken and waffle. Couldn’t quite finish the waffle.my wife had 3 huge pancakes with strawberries, they were excellent but she hardly made a dent in the huge plateful. Really enjoyed this gem of a place.

Food was delicious & reasonably priced. We truly enjoyed the fried chicken, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and hash brown casserole. Food tasted like it was homemade & not from a chain restaurant.

It was outside the heart of Nashville quite away but such a nice spot for breakfast! We did brunch on a Sunday (make a reservation) and it worked out great. We shared a ½ chicken with grits and it was delicious. Don’t skip dessert just because it’s breakfast! Our server was so friendly too! Afterwards we walked through the small shops on the property. There is a shop that features local artists work which was amazing!

We had a breakfast reservation for a Sunday morning and were shown to our table. Our server brought our drink order with a plate of biscuits and homemade strawberry and peach jams. Very good, although they make their biscuits with baking soda and it has a little different taste than I prefer. My wife ordered two scrambled eggs with bacon and grits. I got the Southern omelet with sausage and a side of hashbrown casserole. Some of the service wasn’t the fastest, but the food came out quickly after we ordered and they were dealing with bigger tables than ours. No complaints from either of us overall. Good food with good service.

We visited this restaurant during our only day in Nashville. Great place! Old-fashioned southern cooking and nice atmosphere. I tried catfish for the first time. Delicious! Very busy touristy place with shops as well. It's a bit out of the city but a pretty drive to get there. Highly recommended for visitors to Nashville.

A great place to visit. A shop with a good selection of food and gifts. We had brilliant table service and food recommendations from Owen. Thank you for making our evening a special one. I can recommend the banana pudding!

Glad we finally made it to the Loveless Cafe. Worth the scenic drive away from the city. We were seated quickly (with a reservation) and greeted by friendly staff and yummy southern biscuits. We also enjoyed the chicken and waffles and more chicken. Yum!

Cool place. Need to drive there. Nice shops to look through. We didn't have a reservation at noon. Wait was 20 mins for 2 of us. Fresh biscuits with jams served at table. We split the build your biscuits and meat. Was plenty for 2 people. Portions are large. Would recommend.

This is my third visit to the Loveless. A few years ago, I gave the Loveless Cafe 5 stars and a glowing review, so I was excited to share the experience with my family again today. Sadly the decor and friendly service was the only thing reminiscent of my previous visit. I don’t know if they changed hands or maybe the cook retired, but the famous biscuits were tough and bland and all the food was just ok. The nearly empty restaurant tells me that “ok” is now the norm and not just an off day. I won’t be back, and it makes me sad.

I feel the food is average at best. Place is cool though. Don’t see us going back there but everyone said we had to try it so we did.

Made a reservation online while driving there and did not have to wait but a couple of minutes even though lots of others were waiting. Quick service once seated. Biscuits were great and food was good as well.

We were told about the Loveless Cafe by a baggage claim agent at the airport on our way to Nashville, It was a rainy day and a bit of a drive but nothing else was on the calendar. We called on our way and asked to reserve a table for 8. We went in and sat right down. The waiter, Chaz, came over and got our drinks and answered all of our questions... he was great. The food was excellent... including the on site cooked ham and the hash casserole. We had four children with us who are normally tough to get to eat... they joined the clean plate club at Loveless Cafe. I asked Chaz if they sold jars of the Hot Pepper Sauce and one magically appeared on the table. I'm telling you he was great and the food... phenomenal.

We visited Loveless twice during Holy Week, 3-25 for supper and 3-27 for breakfast. We dine here as often as we can...we normally make a trip to Nashville annually...and Loveless is a must stop. The food is second to none, the biscuits and homemade preserves are great...and the service is always top notch. This time around, I had chicken fried steak and my wife the fried chicken. For breakfast, ham and taters and waffle and bacon...mmmmm! Just can't recommend enough, make a reservation and minimize your wait time. This time, Cortney and Kenna took great care of us. Amy, has taken care of in the past and is an excellent server as well.

It pains me to rate this place poor on this visit, but if it were solely based on my entree it would have been terrible. I should not have deviated from the trued and true, hence the fried chicken or the brisket. I opted for the meat loaf, it was obviously overloaded with filler (bread crumbs or the like) which made it very soft, kind of mushy. It was just a loaf with very little meat. I asked for the brown gravy instead of BBQ sauce…a big mistake!!! It had the consistency of the kind of gravy sold in a jar from Walmart. It was a thick tasteless goo…in fact it was so thick it would not even pour from the cup. The green beans were excellent and the fried green tomatoes were so so, but they didn’t have any remoulade or any sauce other than ranch dressing. The biscuits are okay, and if you like the twang of a buttermilk biscuit you’ll be disappointed. Their jams on the other hand are excellent.
