European Aristocracy
Sir Andrew Stewart was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.
Andrew (Stewart) Stewart First Lord Avandale is a member of Clan Stewart.

Andrew was the son of Walter Stewart.[1]

Knighted in 1437, Andrew Stewart was created Lord Avandale in 1459.[1]

He was the Keeper of Stirling Castle 1467, Ambassador to Denmark 1468. He also became an Ambassador to France.

The existing Castle at Strathaven was rebuilt by Andrew in 1458.

He died without issue in 1488[1] or at least no male issue. It is reported that he had a daughter:
