Really sorry to say, today I bought a cake from the bakery. (As usual , all groceries bought here for the last 10+ years) and I inquired about the flavor of the red chocolate flakes on this cake. The girl got snappy and came from around the counter with an attitude about all chocolate taste the same , do I want it or not. I guess she was in a rush without really knowing that all chocolate doesn't taste the same. I just asked her name . She went off and tried to get a little aggressive , her name was kiara. Then loudly offered to call the manager herself for me. Wowwwwww, at the market over flavors of chocolate. SMH, we sure don't need that in this store. I spoke to the manager up in front about it. She may need further training. Idk.

This is a review of their bakery department. They have a limited variety of beads. There is never enough of the popular items but you can always find the ones no one likes. If that's not enough, they also sell stale bread at regular price.

I really wish I could give negative stars. I went here yesterday to buy some groceries and when I was putting my stuff on the counter to pay I noticed blood on a gallon of water. I went to find the manager and told him and he started rubbing it and saying it wasn't blood! It was blood for sure. I was so disgusted I ran out of there with my babies. The blood was dried onto the bottle. The manager was rubbing it he said he would have someone wipe it down! Thats just crazy!! I just can't shake this off.

We were having a graduation party for my daughter. Went to Stater Bros for a cake. The bakery lady acted like she was put out to make the cake. She didn't offer fillings and didn't return the spoils of ribbon I bought to decorate the cake. It is a shame, I have always had great service in this store. I believe in shopping locally, but next time I will go to a different store. What ever happened to customer service. How many 90$ cakes do you sell in a day? Sad!

I no longer feel safe shopping at stater bros stores and you should not either. Not only do they allow people to come in and shop without wearing a mask, but they will force you to remove your mask if you're buying alcohol. I understand they must be sure that you're of drinking age, but they should under no circumstances put your health at risk by making you remove your mask. COVID-19 is an airborne virus, therefore contracted through the air, removing your mask for even a brief second may put you at risk. I spoke to several supervisors who were unconcerned with this fact. Instead informing me that it is perfectly ok for people not to wear masks if they have a medical condition or they may remove their masks if they're so inclined, also , forcing us to remove our masks to buy alcohol. I suppose the signs posted in front of the stores stating wearing your masks is enforced are all just to get the CDC or whoever off their backs so they can remain open during this pandemic. It is highly dangerous for a company to pretend to be following COVID guidelines, and then not actually following them. That will be my last visit and encourage those that do to be extremely safe and careful. If they don't follow mask guidelines, then perhaps all other safety guidelines (such as cleaning, sanitizing, ensuring store capacity limit) are out the window. Apparently making money is more important than the safety and health of the people.

We are sorry to hear your visit did not meet your expectations. All provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, including licensing requirements, the prohibition against selling alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated patrons, remain in effect. They are subject to enforcement unless the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has provided express notice that specific provisions will not be enforced. It is the responsibility of every clerk to know and follow State law and Company rules to sell alcoholic beverages. The clerk must require proper identification from every customer attempting to purchase any alcoholic beverage and appear to be under the age of 40. Although it is necessary to wear a face-covering during this unprecedented time, our Company is still bound to follow all policies when selling age-restricted products such as alcohol and tobacco products. A visual match of the identification and the customer presenting the proper identification is still needed. Additionally, for your protection, we have installed plexiglass barriers between you and our clerks and placed floor decals to remind the shoppers behind you to maintain a 6ft distance. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope you will allow us the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

I have shopped many Stater Bros over many years. Always great. I do want to point out that this particular one has great workers. I was loading my trunk and my teenage daughter was about to lift a case of waters when we heard a voice say "I'll get that." I looked up and saw a young man collecting carts so I assumed he was speaking of our cart. As she went to raise the waters he ran over and actually took them from her hand and proceeded to load all the remaining groceries into my car. It was kind. It was considerate. It was appreciated. Thank you Kenneth B. You are a kind young man. A definite asset to the Stater Bros team.

I shop here at least once a week. I enjoy Stater Brothers in general, so I shop here, and it's the closest one to my house. Here are the things I like about it:
1) Clean store and organized
2) Their deli team members are very helpful and friendly
3) Their lines get long, but they open more when they notice so.
4) Select team members are very nice and always greet me.
5) They offer a 40% discount when you buy four or more wine bottles.
6) They have pre made food at the deli that is delicious
Dislikes:
1) It is a very small store, and it can get so crowded during busy times, that going over to the next aisle can be time consuming.
2) I wish they had a wider variety of sea food at their deli like shrimp sold by the pound
3) Some of their cashiers are apathetic; they don't greet or read me my total when my transaction is done. Rude. One of them told me she was bored.
4) They constantly run out of cart wipes. Something this minor truly ruins my shopping experience.
6) They need more deli team members. Sometimes I'm there for over 20 minutes just to get some turkey because they only have a couple people back there. - Travis B.San Bernardino, CA1082328/10/2019

The weekend morning crew is amazing. Lily is the friendliest, most helpful cashier. We look forward to seeing her once a week. The store is spotless and everyone in general does an outstanding job.
5/11/2019Previous reviewAfter our experience at the Arrowhead store and getting basically thoughts and prayers. We started using the using the 40th st store. The customer service was friendly, mostly. The produce was decent. Let's just say it was convenient. I got excited when they started to up grade and added a fruit bar.
Now for three weeks straight. I can't find any ready to eat fruit on the shelf, for my up coming work week lunches. Asked the cashier to let the managers know. Past experience not much is going to change. You know thoughts and prayers. If I can't find fresh fruits my next shop. There goes the convenient part.

Staters is honestly the cleanest l, friendliest most organized grocery store in the IE. I shopped here with my grandma as a child and seen the many changes and upgrades and seen the culture change in so many ways. When I take my kids it's always pleasant and recently there's been free samples when you walk in or somewhere in the store which is very nice for the kiddos who want something right when you walk in the store.
The meats are always fresh and tender and when your in a hurry to get dinner done they season and chop up your meat up which is probably the best service to get at a grocery store.
There are always plenty of registers open and associates always ready and willing to help out and I've seen the associates have an immense amount of patience with some very difficult customers and that takes a lot with some of the request people have.
Over all this is a store homely and comfortable, I hope to see this expand outside of the IE.Business owner information
