- Edited one month agoOn my copy, all of the labels are not "filled out", to say that, all the discs look the same. Outer sleeve is similar to that shown in this entry. I may give this a clean and spin to compare to the clear standard issue 3xLP from LHN.
- seen Hooky live 3 times and was upfront for every show as he completely gives his "Heart and Soul". What a legend. This is a great album to have on vinyl, Hooky giving his all and paying Homage to one of the greatest bands ever. IMO he sings way better than that tone deaf cringe worthy laughable Bernard. ROCK ON HOOKY - ROCK ON
- Picked this up at the merch stand at the 2023 Edinburgh gig. This is a phenomenal pressing, with absolutely no distortion or audible surface noise to be heard of. The jacket also came signed, which was a nice touch.
The opening New Order set strangely comes included on a CD instead of vinyl. It's a shame that it wasn't pressed, but it's omission is understandable. The recording itself is about what you'd expect for a live album, but is definitely ranks high out of all the others I've heard. While this thing can be quite pricey, it's well worth it if you enjoy Hooky's take on Joy Division's discography. - Edited one year agoSaw this tour in Milwaukee Pabst Theatre in August 2022. Such a great show. Hearing these songs performed live with all of Hooky's intensity and musicianship is worth the price of the vinyl alone to relive the moment. Fantastic pressing, great packaging. If you can find this LP, buy it.
- Full 5 stars from me. Flawless, dynamic pressing, flat vinyl, quality packaging, nice cover…, but most of all: Hooky. The first 2-3 times I listened to the record, I really missed Ian’s voice. By now, Hooky has really convinced me. His unique interpretation, his voice that conveys emotion, yes, it’s a great record.
