Kent Heine is a New York~based bassist and producer. As a founding member of the band The Holy Ghost, Heine has contributed music compositions for film and television since the late 1990's. With the band Steve Shiffman & the Land of No, Heine has produced music for The Sundance Channel, namely theme music for Eco-Trip. In his most current project, the band o13, Heine has placed music in advertising and films, as well as provided live scores in the arts. In 2010, o13 produced Vandal Tribes, an audio movie with downtown icon Judy Nylon, former muse of Brian Eno. During that year, o13 also began pre-production of a video series based on the works of author JG Ballard. Along with a live score, the band eventually offered "o13 Presents: The Atrocity Exhibition" to audiences. o13's music was recently featured in BAM150, a documentary celebrating the historic Brooklyn Academy of Music. Aside from his own projects, he has played sessions with members and/or former members of notable acts such as Psychedelic Furs, Bright Eyes, Television, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Chavez, and Eleanor Friedberger.
