Mica Paris lights up Ronnie Scott’s

Despite the cold night, there was a line that stretched down the street with fans eagerly waiting to see the soulful magic that was about to take place. They were not disappointed!

THE brilliant and upbeat vocalist Mica Paris played to a sold-out crowd at Ronnie Scott’s in London last week, writes Eva London.

Despite the cold night, there was a line that stretched down the street with fans eagerly waiting to see the soulful magic that was about to take place. They were not disappointed!

It is easy to see why she is considered to be among the best vocalists of her generation

It was clear from the minute Paris took to the stage that the audience was going to be in for a treat. Her charisma and striking vocals immediately enthralled the crowd, drawing everyone into her world of soul and rhythm. Attendees were off their seats early as they embraced an artiste who grew up singing in her grandparents’ church

Paris sang with a band of gifted musicians who complemented her voice. She had the audience up and dancing while she took everyone on a musical journey, singing her well-known hits Where Is The Love and Breathe Life Into Me tracks from her debut album So Good released in 1988.

She went on to sing the song Something Inside So Strong, another show stopper from her album entitled Gospel released in 2020.

As Mica sang other musical gems, the increasing energy was definitely felt. There was an atmosphere of harmony and happiness in the room, one that warmed the aforementioned cold night.

This show was a celebration of music, community and love. It is easy to see why she is considered to be among the best vocalists of her generation.

Mica Paris was appointed Member Of The Order Of The British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to music, entertainment and charity. After another stellar performance, she is indeed musical royalty.
