Anyone know of any really quiet shoes?
I've been doing some digging on the internet, and all the forums can come up with is qualities that the shoes should have, not actual brand and name of the shoes. I am looking for shoes that will be quiet on concrete, roads, and wood. This is for an upcoming film project I am looking to do, and one of my current shoes is squeaky, and also does not fit, so I will buy new ones anyway. What types have worked for you? What should I try to avoid?
Vibram for sure. You can get foam inserts if you need more comfort for those 18 hour shoot day schedules.
I bought some boots from them a while ago, they were very quiet and durable as well. Thanks for the advice!
Edit: Their category seems to be somewhat focused on boots and the shoes with the toes. If possible, I'm looking for something more like sneakers or tennis shoes.
There are fabric slip-on pads you can buy, which can be an option. On most shoots I'm wearing my Canada West CSA Riggers, or some flavour of hiking shoe. I used to wear a lot of Merrels but their QC seems to have gone downhill so I've switched to Oboz.
