Compared this to the OG 1997 , this wins by a long mile. 1997 is digital, this is analogue.

Also an analogue repress and new cut during 2010, but this is the new golden cut done by BG
This is definitely the best pressing of the album atm.

Just bought this one in France, the inner sleeves are white paper with a center hole, and it has the matrix version 2 with 20549. What do the two matrix versions correspond to ? USA / Europe ?

I already have the 2010 2LP and I admit I never could really get into this record. Maybe too much overall compression... It doesn't sound natural (analog) to my ears.
This 2024 BG cut is the best I have heard from this release. Nicer sound, with a more present bass. The sound is deeper than on the 2010 cut. Still, it doesn't really sound analog, particularly on the cymbals. Strange, as it's sourced from the analog master tape with an all-analog process. Maybe this comes from the mix...

Anyway this 2024 cut is the real deal, for now. Get it while it's new and cheap !

Is there anyone Who owns this version and the previous one, and willing to explain if there is some noticeable differences between this version and, let's say, the 2010 one..?

Another outstanding Legacy release! I can’t find fault with anything at all whether audio production or manufacturing. Although touted as 150g, one weighs 164g, the other is 181g and are in rice lined poly sleeves.

As of this review it’s still a steal for only $23 at Amazon so don’t overpay the flippers!

I compared this too the 2010/2024 pressing , the new 2024 cut by CB wins. This cut is digital, the new cuts are analogue.

Although this pressing has the highest quality jacket.

I've never heard the doctored up Alan Douglas productions of these songs from CRY OF LOVE, etc, and I'm glad I haven't. But I did buy this album on CD back in '97 when it was first released, and was blown away. It's sequenced very well. It's got a lot going on, some very diverse sounds. It's got a lot of soul. It rocks. Jimi's guitars are everywhere. The songs feel fully formed for the most part. There are a couple of instrumentals, but they don't feel like throwaways or demos. Basically, this plays like a really good fourth studio album, and it's as strong as anything released during his lifetime. This pressing sounds superb, Eddie Kramer did a damn fine job putting this together, guitar, drums, vocals, bass...it all sounds clear, crisp, and well balanced, and the soundstage is lively and dynamic. My copy plays like new, with zero surface noise. (#4060 of 5000)

This page needs updating. My copy has the 2017 jacket with the vinyl indicating the stamped MOVLP runouts. But there also hand etched numbers and hand etched BG initials. That along with the hype sticker clearly stating this is an all analogue remaster suggests this is identical to the 2010 issues.
The press quality is usual Record Industry high quality and the sound is warm and rich and warrants a crank!

absolutely great music, but I find the cover design just tasteless.

Beautiful, good sounding and very good quality release. Lots of interesting information in the accompanying booklet.

This one is sonically very full and punchy.
MOV did really great here.
I only complain about the compression of the audio which for Me is a bit too much. I would have listened to a bit more dynamically pronounced sound.
Anyway this release delivers in spades, You can’t go wrong with this one.
