May I speak frankly? This is not an attractive college, most of it is 19th-century and looks like a bank or a provincial hospital. It does have a famous history - at one time, only one fellow remained (a madman) and the entire place collapsed around the poor bloke, who was dragged from the wreckage in a hell of a state. It was then reformed and went on to educate Evelyn Waugh, Eddie Nero, Fred Dinenage and the Kray Twins.

Enjoy the Bridge of Sights, towering over the road. It often features in 'Endeavour', as the backdrop to shady dealings in New College Lane

Hertford College is just north of All Soul's College and across from the Sheldonian and Bodleian. It is somewhat outshined by the colleges around it except for one feature, the Bridge of Sighs. Professors brought back the idea from Venice for the college and it is the signature feature for the school.

Had a lovely vegan afternoon tea in the courtyard cafe for £20. There were options for traditional afternoon tea or cakes etc too as well as glasses of bubbly or local beer. A beautiful setting in one of the smaller colleges. Well placed for lots of the central places of interest - Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library, Bridge of Sighs...

Wonderful high tea in a fantastic setting, which was used in the Morse series by the way. Scones great. Teapot abundant, you can actually share it.
